Hi all

Invested in a blender today because I was sick of eating oats, bananas, eggs and protein shakes separately. So I mixed them all together and it was actually quite nice.

Just wanting other recipes for a good drink? Preferably high in protein and maybe an energy boost as is gonna be taken pwo as well as throughout the day when there is no time for cooking.

:)

That's what I have for breakfast every morning, I think it's great... except I use egg white powder it's so much easier!

- strawberries, 4 large will do (or other berries, frozen is ok)

- half a banana

- 1 cup of milk

- 1/2 cup of unflavoured Greek yoghurt

- 1/2 cup of oates

- 2 spoons of peanut butter

- 1 scoop of chocolate flavoured WPC.

  • 2 weeks later...

good call, I use frozen berries with banana also, and if you use yougurt that helps thinkening it up.

I also add like 1/5 of an advocado on occasions, dont notice difference in taste as they tend to be quite suttle.

But more mono fats :pfft:

also the occasional feijoa from the mrs parents tree \:D/

so bloody expensive

Why do people have blended meals anyway? Doesn't make you feel full for long in my opinion. Eating any food that contains protein will count towards your daily protein total for building muscle yes but consuming food with protein that has to be chewed & broken down inside your stomach actually boosts your motabolism faster than it would with a blended meal with protein. Blending any food destroys the fiber in it deeming it useless. (Dr. Oz)

I only have em here and there, when I feel full but know I need to eat. Liquid cals go down easier...

interesting point re whole meals boosting metabolism more so that whole food blended though :?
