Modified Squatting yo

Should really post this in the BBing section but you PLrs know your squats.

Been experimenting with squats and in a way that is comfortable for me.

Is squatting with a widish stance and feet turned out acceptable in terms of squatting for development?

I feel i just got it nailed, far less stress on my knees and back and on the concentric phase I feel the outer quad contract better and the leg feels more locked in to a movement, but doesn't look like a normal squat for sure

I'd admit to having some inflexibilities, and I've seen vids on squat technique.

I guess the master question is: Would it be wise to modify the squat for myself, along side working on weakness?

There's no other way to do it. No squat advice is worth the paper it's printed on if it doesn't suit you.

You have to find a way that suits your individual structure. Over time as your felxibility improves you might find you can change your foot position etc etc but if it's working don't change it!

All good, I had some concerns about technique and chances of injuring myself, but I find doing it "the right way" seems to injure me more lol.

Cheers for the input/peace of mind.

Can anyone recommend some good assistance work or stretches to help the squat? Really wanna get into it this year and get some strength in the wheels

Are you aware of the Agile 8? Pretty big fan it and I know a few guys on here use it most lower body days.

I like to use long slow deep walking lunges to stretch out the hip flexors also dynamic leg swings and casual sled dragging I find is a good way to warm up before any lower body stuff.
