Spiking insulin

Don't wanna start a poll, but I want to gauge everyones opinion on spiking insulin pre or post workout.

If you could include:

Why or why you don't do it

If you do, when you do it.

For the fulla's that are on cycle you could drop your 2c in too about how gear effects this.

Interested to hear what you all think

post workout bro, 70-100grm dextrose on its own 5-10min b4 having a shake ftw.

i always notice i feel far less flat the next day if i have dextrose

Before having the whey? whys that mang?

Spike insulin then give the body nutrients for it to shuttle into the cells?

Where are you guys getting your dextrose from. I looked in the supermarket and they have tablet/lollies but they aren't very high dosage

lol there been tonnes of threads of recent about dextrose and where to get it. Binn in or whatever you call it. But its in brewery section at like every supermarket! Is there any other uses for dextrose other than us roughians and making alcohol??

How or why would separating the whey from glucose be more beneficial than having it together than one shake?

I was under the impression that whey + glucose would raise insulin levels higher.

I usually take 30-50g simple carbs with why but recently been thinking about dropping the simple carbs and replacing with complex (oats) to lean out faster.

Theres been some research stating that spiking insulin post workout negatively effects protein synth, just wondered if anyone that doesn't use glucose has noticed any change in size or rate of gains
