Creatine + Beta-Alanine

I havnt tried this combo, but i imagine beta alanine part is probably over rated, as I have read many reviews/forum posts for beta alanine, and some people say its good some say its shit, so I guess it has more of a placebo effect. Creatine will do much more than the beta alanine for gaining muscle and has been proven and there is a wide consensus among bb'ers that it is a great supplement.

The main reason beta alanine doesnt work properly is that its masively underdosed in most products. I could be wrong but i think the correct dose for beta alanine to work was something around the 3gram mark.

As far as i know i think the only current product that has the full serving for beta alanine is Gaspari's Anavite.

Creatine works no doubt.

Read somewhere b-alanine helps you lift more, and perfect for endurance exercises and it prevents build up of lactic acid but for bodybuilding you need lactic acid buildup to trigger muscle recover anabolic state correct me if i'm wrong.

So has anyone experienced any positive effects from taking beta-alanine? (and thanks for the answers so far)

Beta al gives me tingles everywhere. Fucking uncomfortable but definitely not a factor when your lifting heavier than you could the day before.

I've had great results with Beta, its a product that takes a consistant dosage over a couple weeks for it to really kick in for you. Noticeable increases in anaerobic power. Dose usually between 3g-6g, Charles Poliquin recommends 10g.

that would be correct,

Research has shown that you can take an amount between 3.2 grams and 6.4 grams per day to significantly boost carnosine levels and improve performance and bring about lean muscle gains. The most recent research is now using 4-5 grams a day and showing comparable performance improvements to those using 6.4g daily.

i usually just use a flat teaspoon (3.75g) b4 workouts along with a few other things.

though the itches drive me a little crazy some days

some good info here http://www.betaalanine.info/
