How important is a multi-vitamin?

I take a multi regularly, but not religiously. I look at it as an insurance policy to fill any gaps in my diet, but if I miss a couple of days it's no big deal.

same for me as well. dont get sucked into buying an expencive supplement brand multi tho you can get one from the supermarket for quarter of the price

Ditto, I use this one http://www.bodybuilding.co.nz/optivites.html as it is cheap and is a nice. Its worth a go, and remember if you do take one then you need to drink lots of water. I would suggest until your pee goes clear or very light yellow, if it does not and it is dark then you are just wasting your money. The water helps your body to use more of the multi-vit. Also tske it with a meal as there are vits that get absorbed better with fats....

most multis are made up on sythinitc vits and mins that are man-made and harder for the body to absorp.

best thing to have is plenty of fruit, vege, dairy, meats each day. then a multi is not needed.

if you are getting one, buy quality!

thats just my thoughts tho

There are two sides to this story, the first is that due to humans becoming the type of people we are and growing mass amounts of food in the same plots of land. The soil no longer has enough nutrients in it, which is why they keep adding the main ones to help grow fast and large fruit and veg. The other side of the story is that there are still enough vitamins and minerals in our food. The short of it is, do you feel that you need it, do you eat enough of a balanced diet to get all the vitamins and minerals. Do you eat junk food????

As Pseudonym has said he takes it, but not regular, it’s a Justin, just in case you do need it. This is the main idea that I believe, I don’t think that there is enough vitamins and minerals in our food. But I do not take it all the time.

In my lifestyle, it serves as my protection and assistant to have a healthy life even though I'm not active on workout exercise and other routine. It also assurance for me to not lead on illnesses after my long day of work. I'm taking MX Women's Multi-vitamins for about 7 months now. I feel great because my expectation is fulfilled. Comprehensive nutritional support for health and vitality is one of the benefits I've really enjoyed with taking this multi-vitamins. How about you?

I ended up getting Opti-Men just has a backup if i feel i havnt had enough fruit or vege for the day. usually i only take 1 or 2 on those days. theres been a lot of people sick at work and i havnt caught anything yet so it must be helping.

overall its best to fit more fruit and veges into the diet first, then opt for a multi-vitamin if need be.
