just started league want to gain weight and then tone up just wondering whats the best protein mass gainer. Im 72 kgs 178 cm

I used mutant mass before 2 shakes a day at 2 scoops per shake and used jack3d for pre-workout. Worked out 5 times a week also. Meals were just what i ate every other day before starting mutant mass and working out

Fist make you diet a mass agin diet, if you then need more cals, then go for some mass gainers. IMO there is not really a best mass gainer, any mass gainer will add fat if not used correctly and whole food is usually better.

3 stages to this shake

beginner: 4 eggs, 2 scoops protein powder, 125mls cream, 450ml milk, spoonful of lecithin granules (helps get rid of cholesterol or something, $13 at health store). Put in blender and drink a 3rd in morning, 3rd in afternoon, and 3rd at night.

I reckon ON gold standard 100% whey from shotgunsupplements.co.nz is pretty good

Rapid Growth by BodyScience has one of the lowest fat content and better protein:carb ratio's (assuming your after more protein) of the "Mass Gainers" on the market. It also has a good value number of serves out of the bag and mixes real well too.

For the category of "mass gainers" I consider "mass gainers" as 40g or less of protein per 100g.

You can turn anything into a mass gainer though, even WPI by just dumping loads of Carbs in it (I prefer full cream milk, with ice cream and banana).

SteveZILLA Orton mixes Rapid Growth with WPI, might explain why he is the size of a building!!!

(and not a brick $%*#house....a full three storey one that has 3 bathrooms, an elevator, media room, and student flat on the side)

A lot of mass gainers have a shit (too fast acting) source of carbs ie dextrose or maltodextrin which is why youre better off making your own.

My favourite is 80g Protein blend powder, 140g oats, 3 tablespoons of almond oil, 300ml fruit smoothie and a tub of low fat yogurt. Thats an easy 1000cal and low fat

make ur own is way better!!!

maybe not as cheap, but definalty worth it.

i put this in mine:

oats, bananas, flax oil, flax seed, chia seed, yoghurt, eggs, milk, mixed frozen berries. really fills ya up.

great starting point! breakie, lunch and dinner, then add 1 of those at mid morning and mid arvo.

you'll get enough protein from the milk and yoghurt prolly. all you cud just chuck in 2-3 eggs

as to the weight loss during the cut.... you shud keep the majoriety of the muscle u gain. this will depend on ur nutrition and programme tho. make sure you do it right, and you'll be all set

key is to do it slow and steady i think. heavy weights to keep the muscle, diet and some cardio, lit and\or hiit.

goodluck
