Just either badly sprained or have broken my foot :( :( :(

Was just about to do a first aid course this weekend and snow season is about to start. plus all my fire brigade training...out the window :( sad much....

Um.. so you sprained/ broke your foot... why would that stop you doing a course?

Properly treated, it's not like you'd be bed-ridden, surely ?

Now maybe it means time off the ski-slopes, but it certainly doesn't mean an end to keeping your fitness. Just think of it as a time when you worked on upper-body strength.

Haha lovely posts.

Going to docs today to get xrays and crutches (novelty - never had before - some sly shin wacking to come haha) and to see if it is a sprain or break. cant put weight on it at all but can kind of move me tootsies.

It's a firefighters first aid course so it's very physical, but am going to ring them and see if I can still do it. lol i considered offering myself as the patient.

Hypocondriac?? If you were a daily runner and drive a manual (haha) I think you'd be more than a little gutted to. But yea I'm keen to take this opportunity to work on my upper body.

Trying to think of the positives !

So what was the result? I got a bung shoulder from my stupid dumbbell accident 2 weeks ago and it refuses to heal

Yea bit of a bummer being out of action aye! Reult = broken 5th metatarsal, ligament attached to broken off bit. fracture clinic tomorow to establish whether I need surgery but fingers crossed its only 6 weeks.

So so so concerned about my eating now.

owch oi!!!

i fractured my litle finger a few weeks ago got x rays an shit but all ya do is wrap it up, affected my lifting 4 a bit .. its still really sore doc said 8 weeks it will be healed gosh!!! an shit u will be hating not been able to run or do anythng geeepers!! :shock:

Don't try using your foot untill it's healed. You want it to heal as best as possible, the foot is one of those moving parts where injuries that don't heal right can cause chronic pain.

remember you dont have to do cardio to lose weight. just focus on your diet and letting your foot heal properly
