Can I import Protein bars from US ? any customs problems ?

Has anyone imported protein bars from outside via mail ?

I am used to eating Met-Rx chocolate bars and I cannot find them here in NZ. I would like to know if there will be any customs issue I have one of my friend US mail like 40-50 bars to NZ.

If there is anyone here who did not have any issues importing protein bars, your replies are really appreciated.
