Needle Exchange let me down

I went into my first 1-4-1 NE today and was hoping to get some better needles cause the ones im using now (1.5in 22g) are bigger than necessary.

So i got there with my container full of used needles and the guy didnt even check just asked me how many i had, which was cool. But when I asked if i could get half 23g 1in and half 25g 1in he said all I could have was 26g .5in.

I jab in my quad.. So .5in ain't gonna cut it.

Do all 1-4-1 places only offer 1 needle size or did I just choose a bad egg?

Thats screwed up. 26G? damn mate, that's shit for oils in my opinion. 23G is what I use and it is the shizzle.

.5 is not deep enough. You will get a lump on the leg. And irritated fat layer. When I haven't gone to an inch, I get lumps on the leg bigger than the oil used, so I figure the body aint having a good time.

You should complain. Not sure if anyone will give a shit, but find a name up teh food chain from the ADIO site to moan to.

Unless they were out of stock its pretty shit at the end of the day you are using needles like any other needle user and should get wht you ask for(if it is in stock) that is the idea of the needle exchanges to make needle use safe and clean.

Thats what I thought. They definitely had stock because he showed me all the needles he had and it ranged from 18g 1in (f*ck OFF) till the POS 26g ones i was given. And I had to buy the 23g and 25g. Granted they are only 50c a pop but still, kind of defeats the purpose of making it 1-4-1 when they only offer you tiny delt friendly needles..

Good to know it every place isn't like this

Oh and I was hoping to draw with 23 and jab with 25 but will 25 be to thin for oils? Will i be sitting with it in my leg for 10mins pushing it like crazy and shaking the site around?

I have been told (though never tried it) to warm the oil. Should make the oil thinner and easier going in.

depends what kind of oil the powder is first mixed with which will determine thickness. grapeseed oil is really thin and goes in sweet as... some people who use motor oil (lol) theirs will be thick. but yeah heating is good for thinning out same as when u put cooking oil in a frying pan it wont run for shit but turn the gas on and a min later itll be all over the pan runny as hell

May have to give it a go. Whenever I jab it comes out in bursts cause its thick and won't go through easy :/

your 25's one inches will be fine,it will just take you longer to push through,if the oils alittle thick then you'll at least get a good thumb pump. Your 23's will push through just about anything easily but leave slightly more damage

As far as heating goes load the barrell with the oil then put it in your mouth for 5 mins or so to bring it to body temp.

wtf? mate, I warm mine by putting it under the folds of a towel on teh heated towel rail. Easy as, and in under 20minutes, it's toasty warm, and glides on in.

Once I even had it heating up under a knee wrap, that was around my bicep. Under a sweat shirt, no one knew. When I had time, I went to the toilet and did teh deed. Nice and warm. Shameless. And didn't want to miss my timing.

I found 25G takes me too long to get the job done. But, that was over a year ago since getting them, so maybe I will try again.

This is the advice I was given when I use to use. Needle with cap on oil in barrel, and barrel held in mouth for 5 mins to get to body temp.

Not needle in tounge?! :grin: (if I was giving Ramy a BJ it would be needle on tounge).

Makes sense when your kitchen oils get cool they solidify so the warmer the easier it will glide in. I would be interested to know if too much heat destroys the chemicals I imagine it would,
