Auckland Powerlifting Champs May 7th

To be held at Lynfield CLM. An average size field of lifters with no new names really other than a couple from CBC. 3 lots with lifting starting at 10am for the skinnys and 105+kg from 2pm.

Battles to watch for Kristel Modderman and Rechelle Unsworth, Rachel Clayton and Suzy Derbyshire on wilks, the Burge boys and perhaps Ritchie Patterson (oly lifter) and some good battles in the 105 class which Jono Radich should win no probs.

In the SHW line up there is only Lance Stewart and Neil Luaki which neil should have no probs totalling 800+

Pick of the up and comers will be Sateki Langi though who is a very strong and great technical lifter.

I would have though the field would have been bigger with the 1 novice rule now in place but they may have scared a few off being that your fist novice is generally a raw lift and now you go from that right into what should be a near fully equipped meet.
