How the heck to you get rid of that bra fat around the lats???

I have to wear a reasonably tight bra, especially for exercise because unforunately they are of considerable size.. I just cant seem to shake the lat fat. even when I drop weight. Any suggestions?

What back exercises etc are you doing chick? I find when I'm a bit higher in fat than usual I get it across my back too (and hip, and thighs, and....never mind). I usually amp up my back training quite a bit and it seems to help, although it's mostly a drop in body fat in general that causes it.

you have to lose bodyfat all over it will come off where it wants the only other thing to try is a thyroid supplement as back fat is associated with your thyroid

Back fat associated with the thyroid? This is a new one.

So if my thyroid gland isnt working properly my back will get fat? hahahaha

yup hormones have alot to do with fat storage

take estrogen females with high estrogen will hold more fat on their triceps hips and butt males with high estrogen well we know that causes them to hold fat on their chest azwell az triceps

your right if your thyroid doesnt work properly most of your fat will be on your back a good way to test it is when you do a Bodyfat test the 4 point pinch test Bicep/Tricep subscapular and suprailliac

for females the tricep subscap and suprailliac readings should be the same if the subscap is higher than the other 2 then there is a chance their thyroid isnt working azwell az it can and if the tricep is the highest then estrogen is high obviously alot of things can cause this genetics, stress worklife periods etc

I have had many female clients with this condition and by putting them on a thyroid supplement it has shown to fix it because the metabolism is working better and they lose fat evenly because there isnt a hormone imbalance

not that good lol kinda like comparing novedex from gaspari to Test obviously the novedex is a good supplement and will raise your test leves and give you some ok gains but Test is well Test haha

its a good thyroid supp and does work but ofcourse T3 is alot better but has the negative side effects assocatied with it

You know, I'm quite skinny for my height, and am working on the muscle tone, but if i was to do the pinch test on my back, i cant tell if it is just that I have stretchy skin or a big layer of fat over my back you could grab it and pull it all the way out. this really contributes to the bra lats.

My trainer has started me on the arms, shoulders and back workouts, so I'll get his journal and post it on.

It's just really gay because I have to wear a tight sports bra because of my boob size which enhances the situation way more!!

Would never have considered it to be a thyroid problen but that's a new one! Maybe I should look into that. How do you find out if you've got a thyroid problem?

blood tests are the only way to know for sure what your thyroid is doing

You dont have a thyroid problem this is just an excuse fat people use. Eat well and do some cardio and you will drop the extra lbs.

There were no fat jews in the concentraion camps its all about energy in vs energy out.

I actually thought this was a pretty valid query and probably common problem for girls.

It is, Hazel. Luigi is doubting your boob size.

Luigi - keep it on track please. Fact is; she has "bra lats", and is asking for advice on how to get rid of them. Asking her for proof of boob size isn't helping the discussion.

Fat stored around the back of the arm is generally a female thing, but if you feel its perhaps more stubborn that it should be, it could be a combination of female hormones and adrenal issues.

Dont over complicate things it just fat from created through eating too much food which is stored as fat.

True true, it is like you said energy in vs energy out. But its good to know how to get into an optimal fat burning state. Specially when "cutting" some people start smashing the caffeine and doing a lot of cardio. Why make it harder for yourself. Extra stress is something you dont need to battle.

That said, it would be good to know what sort of effort Hazel has put into her diet and exercise to see if it is sufficient, before turning to thyroid and adrenal issues.

Yeah its like 1% of people who have thyroid issues its very uncommon. Look at the jews there were not not any fat ones in the concentraion camps.

Energy in vs energy out. If the numbers are correct the weight will drop.

My motherinlaw doesnt have a thyrooid and hasnt for the last year or so. Her weight didnt increase noticably over that period.

I reckon your description of an oestrogen-dominant female fits me pretty well. I always find fat from triceps and thighs the hardest to drop. Is there anything you know of that I could do to decrease my oestrogen dominance? Bar drugs of course, coz I won't go that far... :lol:

this is very interesting.........only time I've had fat on ma back, when the ol' sport bra gets tight, is when I've been lazy, not training, eating shit and lost my motivation. like now!!! interesting that your back skin is 'stretchy'. I always think, make your weakness your strength. So I just think you should really focus on your back, start upping your weights in all areas but really focus on gaining some sexy muscle on your back. you (we) will never be perfect but I fully believe you can seriously make some major changes to your weakness. also really like how you are now, then any improve is a bonus.
