Newbie wanting advice please

Hi guys,

Just joined up to the site today and was hoping to get a little advice form those of you in the 'know'.

I'm a mother of 2 boys, my youngest is 4.5 months old and im still breastfeeding. I really want to get back into shape and compete in my first bodybuilding competition in the next couple of years (its something i've always dreamed of doing). Im currently working out at the gym 4-5 times a week with weights + cardio and walking 3-4 times a week. I wanted to know what type of weighlifting routines I should be doing, how often etc and also what my nutrition should be looking like at the moment (bearing in mind im still feeding my son). I have 20+ kilos to loose to get to my off-season weight (guessing). Any advice would be greatlye appreciated!

Hey Sunny, welcome to the forums. It sounds like you're doing the right stuff with weights and cardio, but if you want, check out our Bodybuilding for Beginners articles (under the Resources tab at the top of the screen).

As far as dieting while breast-feeding goes, there's a few girls here who'd be much better qualified to answer than me. It's not something I've had much experience with, funnily enough. :P
