- everyone starts out somewhere -

hey im starting to get get into bodybuilding

im M , 15 , about 6'7 and weigh around 90kg :)

the part of my body i am starting to train atm is my arms and back

im not really wanting to train my abs at the moment

because i have a bit of a gutt and i may aswell make progress on

my arms first . i bike to course at least everyday except on my lazy

days and thats when i take the bus lol my course is about 15 km

from my house. when i bike to

course i probably burn around 800 calories a week

(not including the sports we do in the afternoon and the gym on wednesday)

im wanting to get a job so i can afford a gym membership and some

protein supplements (theres a new countdown opening up the road this easter) so i hope to get a job there , fingers crossed lol .

the only problem i really have with training is that my right arm

is stronger then my left arm so i tend to train more with my right arm

then left , i have used lighter weights for my left arm but i get restless

and just want my left arm to hurry up and start gettin bigger so i use heavier weights then start going all wonky lol ! but good things do take time but geez this is just slow lol so can anyone help me out there or give me any excersises to do please i have 2 6kg weights at home but i had to buy 2 more 4kg ones for my left arm lol and we also have a treadmill (i have asthma so i dont really use it much considering i bike to course). my current bodybuilder that i "idolise"

atm is "fortafy" or sam ratumaitavuki . my diet is alright i eat pretty healthy food but i also eat alot of bread and i have heard that is bad ? but im not sure because nothing really stops me when im hungry lol .

so i hope to make some friends on this website if anyone is starting out aswell then maybe type to me if you would like a friend to have competitions with (: so thanks for reading :)

Hey man, welcome to the forums. 6'7 at 15... wow! I don't want to discourage you from bodybuilding, but have you considered basketball?!

If you're still at school - can you use the gym there? That would be cheaper, and it would give you more money to spend on food (which is the other big expense for bodybuilders)

HOLY MOLY!! You giant..

Top of your page, under the Resources tab, check out Bodybuilding for Beginners. There's some very useful info in there so be sure to give it a good read, once you've done that, read it again :) Make good use of this forum as theres a lot of very knowledgeable and experienced people from all walks of life lurking around here :

Some advice I could give is to find someones Journal in the Workout Journals section, read through it and follow it regularly. A lot of the stuff I have learnt has come from reading books and following journals. They're packed with useful tips!

Good luck.
