Caught a Cold while Cutting, Continue?

Im in the middle of a successful cutting phase about 7weeks in, but Ive caught a cold from the wife, who gets them alot off germy kids being a teacher. Anyways today Strength was down alot. So i have decided to stop lifting for a week and as courtesy to others at the gym. Kinda seem pointless to lift.

The cold is not too bad,Just a Very running nose, eyes + cough.

Im currently 89Kg 177cm. Down 8Kg since did my Previous Progress pics

Was gonna do pics but right now looking flat and feeling flat.

Question is should I continue cardio? Medium Pace 2x40min run around the park mornings & nights and should I break diet and eat lots.

not sure what the rest would say mate, but I had a cold a few weeks ago, I took a mini break from the gym and tried to continue with my diet, except I added in the odd 1-2 soups and vitamin c fruit (and took vitamin C tabs)

within 2-3 days it cleared up for me.

Definately keep on cutting. Dont be discouraged by a cold.

As PD says, may help to up your calories however keep them clean.

You will find many of our seasoned competitors on here would have experienced a cold or 2 leading up to a show. Sometimes a result of the stress you are putting your body under.

Get loads of vitamin C now, keep on taking vit c and a decent multi for the rest of your cut if youre not already.

If it was me and i got a cold as you described i would carry on cutting and still go to the gym, just supplement with some vitamin C, like 10g per day.

Last time when i did a mini cut i got extremly sick like i have never been sick before, for 3 days straight i was vomiting and shitting like a hose ate nothing for like 2 days except nibbled on a lemonade ice block, on the 3rd day i got McDonalds couldent even finish 1/5th of the burger, lost 7kgs all up in less than 1 week, was fucking depressing as.

Once i was better i bulked for 2 weeks got most of my weight back most of which was water weight etc, then i carryed on cutting. and shortly i was back to where i was.

None i plan to stay hydrated.. Yet still high as a kite.

Step one: Go to doctor and describe symptoms

Step two: obtain prescription for pseudoephidrene

step three: obtain caffeine and asprin

step four: get shredded.

I was under the impression Pseudo didn't have the same effect as Ephedrine HCL in the stack?? Or was I misinformed?

Nah you're right Ephedrine is better, pseudo works the same way but I remember Dan Duchaine wrote a piece on substituting pseudo for ephedrine -HCL and found pseudo wasn't as effective.

It won't stimulate thermogenesis as much but still works just as well as a stimulant.
