I had a steak and cheese pie today and chocolate wheatens. So not worth the guilt!

On the plus side here is my favourite recipe for lunch salad which I also had today;

Red salmon, lettuce, spinach, red capsicum, spring onion, chopped almonds, blue cheese, sultanas, raw courgette,

dressed with; avocado oil, balsamic vinegar, tuscan seasoning and ground chillis.

bon apetite!

how often do you guys have cheat meals?

Once a fortnight?

I've found I don't really need to have serious cheat meals, just ocasionaly put a bit of effort into making something taste really good (follow recipes etc) while sticking to macros and total daily calories and this takes out the need for me to have an excessive cheat

Mmmm - fettuccine Alfredo, or pasta carbonara =P~

Not so much a fan of pies... but choc wheatens would be an endangered species at our place.

Tragically, I would have to still give thumbs up to a decent piece of steak, properly cooked, perhaps with green beans, asparagus and a nice pepper sauce :)

I have cheat meals all the time! But I won't be dieting for another 2 months and us young ones always eat shit food (I'm reluctant to buy it myself but if it's there I get it). Are you dieting for a comp Hazel? If not, I don't think this "Cheat" really matters.

Over all the years of me trying to lose weight, I always had my cheat meal after my official weigh in at weight watchers. I would eat to celebrate or eat to commiserate.

Now I have learnt to enjoy a little cheat every now and then and not think that I have stuffed my eating up. Just over the last few days while trying to increase the amount that I am eating, after not eating much over the last two weeks due to being sick.

I have eaten 1.5 bags of family size lollies the other half is sitting beside the bed. This is a big thing for me as prior to losing all my weight I would eat both packets, a king size block of chocolate, a bag of chips and a bottle of 2.25 of coke/fanta every night before dinner then have two dinners.

So that’s my 2c anyway, enjoy it and don’t stress too much over it, it will only make it worse. People have to eat to enjoy life.

Shot! It's bigger picture. People get caught on one bad meal here and there and it makes them bail on a whole day. Eat, enjoy and get back to the programme! Still missing choc wheatens!

Hahaha Peter.... I could give you a run for your money....

It's the only thing I've solidly craved since I've been carb-free...cheesey saucey macaroni cheese with bacon and a truckload of salt. its called the Super Artery Clogger.

I'm not training for a comp by the way.. but I still feel that it's unjustified haha. screw it

You know what gets me every time? Buying coffee and grabbing a sweet snack at the same time.

If I'm a bit tired and I think I'm gonna need a coffee to get me through the workday I sometimes pop down to the local cafe, and just about never walk away without a slice of brownie, or muffin, or (gasp) a dirty dirty sausage roll - like this morning.

ah... whoopsie.
