NZIFBB 'FIGURE' RULES

Hi. I'm hoping to compete for the first time this year in a 'figure' competition. I have emailed the NZIFBB a couple of times and asked for a copy of the rules and competition procedures. I haven't heard back, and the website appears to be faulty as it comes up with 'forbidden' when I click on any of the rule links. Does anyone know the rules/procedures, or can you direct me to a site that has them. Thank you very much. :D

well blue,

at the end of the day, don't worry about it!!!

train your ass hardout, eat clean - get your bod in tip top shape and along the way, you'll find out what you need to know. if fellow competitors in your gym not forthcoming or helpful (may have carrot up arse syndrome) then again - don't worry about it!

we have a huge dilemna in nz with tall poppy syndrome.

you focus on what you need to and things like bikini, heels, posing, what to do to register for event etc, will come clearer closer to the day. really the main goal is to look amazing, so get there first then worry about the girlie stuff, and boring old rules and regulations later.

i went for my first comp, looked amazing and a seasoned male bodybuilder gave me unsolicitored advice about 'what class are you going in?' I was still deciding and he tried to get on my case about it. I told him where to shove his opinion and HE ended up going in the wrong class!!!! And got his arse kicked!!!! Ha, ha, ha, ha, haaa. Just get your mindset where it needs to be and block out all negative crap.

What Blue is asking is surely a simple thing, it called "communication".

"It coming clear on the day"!... what a joke!!

People want to know the rules & have good communication from sporting bodies that promte their sport, otherwise they go somewhere else or get lost to other sports.

I particularly can not help but shake my head at this example, as i used to be heavily involved with the NZFBB (20+ years) and pushed for procedures of better communication/web site policies.

They never happened = one of the reasons i resigned.

I belong to 3 other sporting bodies and even at club level their communication and information for athletes is 100 times superior.

Email replies and a updated web site with the current rules/results has been promised for some time now.

Come on NZFBB use this in a positive manner to improve your game, this is one of the many things that need attention before its completely too late!!

:naughty:

I have to agree with you blue131 about the nzifbb, I've emailed quite a few times asking for info, because as a person that has never competed, and don't know where to start their info isn't clear, and it's misleading and their website is shit. And they also seem to be a very "elite" (much like the popular group at high school!) group of people and unless you are friends with one of them you have no chance of getting any help - as it seemed on the night of the pro show in Auckland
