Whatssup! Well, I bought my first pair of dumbbells with my paper run money when I was 11 years old. Favourite programme back in the day was Incredible Hulk, Big Louie. That's when I was like 'cool man!!!' Being in a one parent family I wasn't able to join a gym until I started my first job when I was 18. Trained at Better Bodies in Upper Hutt, Kerry Johnson started me on my first programme. For next 7 years aiming to compete every damned year. I never made it. Every year I failed. Every year that negative voice of my mother was still intrenched in my damned programming. I was constantly told by others "Az you've got the most potential blah, blah, blah" and I did. Amazing genetics - but that's life. I gave up my softball all those years and still never achieved in Bodybuilding - suck. got married then life really sucked!!!! except having my two children, the most amazing kids ever. So 2008, i finally got my mojo back (was out of marriage) and joined up the best gym id seen so far - les mills hutt. In a short amount of time I created a pretty impressive (and sexy) physique. Not bad for struggling in poverty on the dpb with no family support. Joe Ulberg helped me with nutrition and sups. My weight stayed at 69kg but bodyfat went from 17% to 12.5%, yeah!!!!!!!!! that's called training hard but smart.

so impressive was i that me and ma kids got to hang out with big man Jonah at 2008 bb champs in wgtn. that was the shit, i turned up late and had to leave after a couple of hours due to O and K jumping off the walls. i learnt heaps just by observing jonah that day and he treated me and my kids like whanau, so that was a moment i'll never forget. thanks jonah, meant more than you realise, the kindness you showed me that day.

so life took another horrific turn, so this year i'm back and i'm gonna stay this time, pretty sure i've learnt everything i need to now (in 'life'). lost most of my muscle, but in pretty good shape for haven't trained for over a year and this time I have a goal of being 11% BF with a weight of 72kgs, working on agility, reflexes for a comback into womens softball - got my goals for 2011/2012. so yeah - stay tuned.

Hi and welcome. Thats quite a life story and one that im sure will make you the stronger mentally and physically. Sometimes it takes a few knocks in life to realise your full potential. Don't worry about the muscle, that will come back and some, once you crack back into good hard training and nutrition. Looking forward to hearing along the way how you progress, good luck and all the best.
