Constantly eat?

Imo, Its all about working out how many calories and the macro nutrients you need and then doing it - don't get to beaten up on the timing its more important to get a routine that you can keep to.

I feel like I'm constantly eating with 5 real meals and additional post workout eats, but hey I enjoy it and its one of the few good things about an office job; I can stuff my face all day and then train!

At the other end of the spectrum, I do all my eating between midday and 8pm, cutting or bulking. Generally a good-sized feed immediately post training, a snack about 4ish, then another decent sized feed between 6-8.

It comes down to what your trying to achieve, I was eating 4 meals a day and didn't gain any weight for months after initial gains and couldn't figure out why until I posted a similar question, now eat 6 times a day and gaining good muscle once again

Number of meals don't matter too much, just make sure your eating alot of food till you notice yourself getting bigger, if you start getting too much fat after a few months then cut down a little. But I cannot put enough Empasis on eating alot of food if your slim and trying to bulk. Solved all my bulking probs!!

Just wondering. Im trying to bulk up. So I hear people joke about "constantly eating". Should there be minimal gaps between 1 meal and the next or is it ok to have bigger meals and larger gaps?

It comes down to how much you can eat! The trick is to eat small amounts of quality foods with high protein very frequently to the point where you do not stifle your digestive system. The moment you get too full and bloated your digestive system will shut down and the growth will stop.

Thaks to everyone when i did ask this as well, I now every 2-3 hours, but again I dont get worry unless I find out that I have not eaten enough by the end of the day. I know is hard if you to eat eat every 2-3hours if not in an office job. Im on clinical placemnet and I am luckly to get my breaks.... Thats the nature of my placement (the nuthouse!) we got our breaks when and if we can, it all depends on what is happening on the wards... But when I am home and not on placement I try to eat every 2-3hours and this really hepls my cravings as well.

Maybe consider preparing meal replacement shakes if your that busy. You need to strictly adhere to getting enough calories almost everyday otherwise you won't grow. Brekkie shake lunch shake dinner. With fruit almonds and pre boiled eggs a's in-between snacks. You will be set.
