sorry 'eggs but I don't understand your plan.

What do you mean by this bit:

"1 day on 1 day off

2 days rest"

?

because it doesn't fit with your plan. it would mean

Mon chest & triceps

Tue day off

Wed back& biceps

Thur day off

Fri sholders & traps

Sat day off

Sun legs & abs

which doesn't leave two days for rest??

Am I just not getting what you mean??

1 day on, 1 day off is fine...but then you don't need 2 days rest as well because you've had a rest every 2nd day. Rest is good but you also need the progressive resistance often enough to warrant growing at all.

Don't do traps with Shoulders...unless you only think traps are those muscles you see in the mirror next to your neck. If you do thorough trap work you don't want to divert blood and energy away from Shoulders into your Back. Do Traps on Back day when the blood is moving around that area anyway.

Otherwise good

i think shoulder and traps are good to train on the same day.when you do front raise, side raise, rear lateral raise and upright row you are already using your traps upper, middle and lower.why not finish them in the same day?

i dont know what android is talking about.your blood constantly flow throgh your whole body at all times.next thing will be dont use your brain cause you want your blood to go to shoulder

you will find more then one pro bodybuilder doing traps and shoulder on the same day

I think what android was getting at is that traps are heavuly involved in back exercises so it makes sense to hit them with back or else youll be training them once with back and once with shoulders. If your traps are getting a good workout with your shoulders your technique must be ratshit.

yea, yous should listen to the guy with the massive traps!

also tinytraps is right, imo the hardest part of training your delts is avoiding your traps taking over when getting tired. having no ego is the answer here.

I remember having a p.t session with teneka hyndman at AK lesmills ages ago, she had me training my rear delts with 4kg db's - and when she corrected my form it was hard as f*ck.

food for thought!

Thats not just for rear delts. So many guys use so much weight for isolation exercises and miss the whole point of which muscle they are suppose to be doing. Often see guys do 20kg DB Laterals swinging it up, drastically bent elbows etc. If you can use that kind of weight and only recruit your medial delt your should be a huge mother fuker.

It wasnt until I hurt my shoulder that I was forced to be careful with my technique so I didnt reinjure myself. It was then that I realised how difficult some exercises can be with light weights when your really paying close attention to using strict form.

SFS is right, and Teneka took me thru same exercise for pre-comp with silly little weights that cause alot of pain! Miss Natural Olympia 2011 isn't she?

Also, i reiterate if all he does is shrugs for traps then with shoulders is fine.

As this guy had Traps as a separate body part I assumed he hits it with a few diff exercises, bit much when added to a thorough shoulder workout mainly because trap work will include by default other moving parts of back..I personally wouldn't swole the back and shoulders in one workout and fee others would too.

My point about blood is recovery, nutrients will be deposited where stress was performed. I think you'd be shifting some of those nutrients away from shoulders if u add in traps and work the back.

Nothing wrong with traps and shoulders together tho, just I don't do them together and I know others here will and get great growth as well.

well i think that any workout plan is better then none at all dude! trial and error is your best friend when starting out! everybody is different! train hard mate i had to try different workout plans before i found one that worked for me, but overall you dont want your body getting used to what you do each week so try changing it up aswell from time to time. CHURR!
