NutraWHEY Elite - Cookies & Cream

Before I start I am sponsored by these guys, but I alway speak objectively (I told Hennie if it's crap I'll call it crap!). Anyway here's my brief review of the NutraWHEY Elite - Cookies & Cream that http://www.bodybuilding.co.nz sent me to try.

I went to pick it up but my training partner had beaten me to it (and opened it and had a shake or three!!!!! ). I said the deal was they had to comment on it for the supplement review! Quote "its the best tasting protein powder I've ever had". So it had a big rapt before I even got to try it!

My 10 cents:

Mixes well in a shaker, tastes unreal in trim milk, and I would say it's probably the nicest flavour I've tried (though my tastes have always been for vanilla / lite chocolate whey blends, I do like Cookies & Cream icecream! ).

I ran out of milk this morning & had to have a shake with water, I usually despise thin watery shakes but this was not too bad. Still a bit thin for my liking with water but the taste was great. Mixed well in a shaker too.

Two thumbs up from me Hennie - can see this becoming a regular for me & I'm sure many others (the price seems pretty good too!).

Thanks for the review Nate. I got the email about this the other day and am looking forward to trying it out (likewise, cookies'n'cream is my favourite icecream). I usually just get the unflavoured whey (and still have 3kg to get through before I can justify buying more) but will have to make an exception in this case

after drinking unflavoured protein for the last year and a half or so the first thing i done when i received this was had a shake. i actually purchased this whey protein to make some protein bars :D

heres my review on their 'chocolate feast' flavour.

mixibility-using a blender bottle, it didnt blend that well at all and it took a while to get it smooth.

texture-i found this protein to be thicker than alot of commercial type protein powders im use to. This could also attribute to its mixability, i actually enjoyed that though.

taste-its not too sweet but definitely not dull, the milk compliments the texture. i have not tried it in water but typically protein powders with more texture do not usually go well with water.

just out of curiosity, has anyone tried the Nutrawhey cream vanilla flavour. I got the myofusion milk chocolate and it tastes like baking soda so I got this one instead.

mini review here, may as well put it on relevant topic ;

got choc, vanilla and natural samples free when i ordered from bb.co.nz so gave 'em a try.

vanilla - generally im not a fan of vanilla but this one is definitely decent, doesn't beat myofusions strawberries & cream for flavour (different flavours so bad comparison) but excellent value for money. real easy to down and mixes well in a shaker. tried it with whole milk.

choc - love it, will probably be looking to order next once my myofusion runs out. tried with whole milk and just water, both pretty good but obviously whole milk much better (its real thin shake in water but still easy to get down, tastes/smells nice enough. it doesnt really look like chocolate when mixed up but probably because lack of artificial colouring)

didnt try natural one yet (scared because i never tried unflavored protein before :? ) but the time will come eventually

I've tried the Natural, Vanilla and the Cookies & Cream flavours of NutraWhey and I'd definitely say the Vanilla was the best. The Cookies one was a bit too artificial/sweet tasting for me and didn't seem to mix too well with water or oats, but perhaps I just got a dodgy batch. Still, can't beat that price and I finished the whole bag.

Would recommend the Vanilla in a heartbeat and I'm looking forward to trying the Chocolate one next
