Nutrawhey 10kg

I ordered some of this the other day, delivered overnight.

Pretty much the same consistency and mix-ability as the fonterra stuff, maybe slightly better. The best part was instead of arriving in one pain in the butt to move around 10kg bag, it came in 10 separate 1kg bags.

Perfect for me as it means I can leave a couple of kgs at work, some at home and can sell some of it to my mates without having to weigh it out kilo by kilo.

when i got mine it was a 10kg brown bag, and the whey inside a clear bag tied up

could be better in 1,2 or 5kg bag but the 10k sack is all good. i have a plastic container with an airtight lid i transfer it too before it gets measure out for my shakes

thinking of doing a bulk order soon for 20-30kg as some guys on my course may buy into some

Damn thats good money. I just ordered 5kg yesterday didn't realise they did bulk 10kg sacks. Does it come in the sack or in seperate foil packets?

You could always let Hennie know you wanted it in seperate bags to be safe. My last order I wanted 5kg of choc and 5kg vanilla, told Hennie and he made sure I got 5kg of each in the 1kg bags, but I only paid for a 10kg bulk bag. Fantastic service

I'm pretty sure you will find that this is Fontera stuff.

I'm pretty sure you will find that this is Fontera stuff.

Considering how cheap it is probably not from Fonterra, could be from another NZ dairy company. Hennie could confirm this for sure though. Word on the street is that Fonterra has a major shortage of NZ made WPC for the domestic market, so anyone currently using Fonterra Alacen 450 WPC is soon to be settling for Aussie imported stuff. Not going to be able to call it NZ made for a while. Again Hennie would be able to give you more info if they use A450.

oh really, so you think this may be ausie stuff? i wonder if we will be able to buy 20kg bulk of it like we can the fontera stuff. but maybe at a cheaper price :pfft:

No I didn't say this was Aussie stuff. Reread the post.

The aussie stuff will still be fonterra protein, just manufactured in Oz by Fonterra. The NZ supply of A450 hasn't completely dried up yet but may do in the next few months, which is when the Aussie stuff will start being used. If you buy direct through davis then most likely you'll end up getting Aussie WPC in a few months.

I got ten of the one kg foil packets. They were boxed up and as I said, delivered overnight.

$250 for the unflavoured stuff. Looks like watery milk, tastes like watery milk. At that price, $25 per kilo, its slightly more expensive than the A450 from Davis Trading but the convenience of the foil packets makes it worth it for me :)

After the whey shortage we experienced last year we increased Alcalen orders to a bit more than what we expect to sell every month since Oct 2010, should be good to last untill May if supply stops now. Will definately update everyone if we switch to Aussie stuff as the current focus is on being NZ Made Whey.

Sweet. Do you sight the Alacen450 product before packing/manufacture? Just I've had word of at least one contract manufacturer that sources A450 for clients, however uses another brand of NZ made whey and sells it as A450 even though it's not Fonterra A450. Lots cheaper and slightly different protein/amino content, taste isn't as good by all accounts though.
