The fanny machine

I always see girls on the fanny machine and think "Must be trying to tone up their vagina for the boys." But I thought I'd ask, does anyone work their adductors using their machine, and do they REALLY need to be trained specifically? (Sounds stupid, as all muscles should be worked, but no one really works abs that much so you know).

If it helps tighten your loose vagina shutupandsquat you should use it. :pfft:

I use it sometimes and so do a lot of very big leg bodybuilders, strengthens your adductors and gives you more thickness. Every little bit helps sometimes. You kind of get to a point in leg training where you need to work out different angles and emphasise different areas. Try doing a few sets on the adductor machine and then see how you go doing wide stance squats. It's a whole new level of pain. Probably something that as a bodybuilder you might not begin to do until you have some real meat on your legs and you are looking for just a bit more even development, but never discount and exercise without giving it a good run to see how it goes. I mean I bet most guys will have done every kind of bicep curl imagineable so why discount another angle to work your legs?

I don't view it as a exercise that should ever be a staple leg exercise but like Harry said, variation is fine. Every time I've used it, the DOMS have been the worst and hang around for 4 days. I've heard a lot of top guys say as well that bigger adductors = better ham sweep

Never used this consistently enough to be able to say how good it is for growth, but I can certainly attest to the crippling DOMS. You know things are bad when you're tempted to leave your manual car in first gear, just to avoid moving your legs between the pedals. :pfft:
