Sore Shoulder

Bit more info - Pain starts from bottom of movement when pushing. Usually eases when past parallel and up. When lowering on shoulder press the pain kicks in at parallel to bottom of movement.

Definitely not muscle - feels like a sharp pain (tendon or similar)

first thing you need to do is get a diagnosis, the only bit of information in that video relevant to you is where he says if you have pain go to a physician.

not to the keyboard and certainly dont listen to teenage mutant ninja turtle chest

they way you have described your injury would suggest you have little knowledge of the anatomy, so get to a physio that does.

once you have a diagnosis, people here may be able to help

in my experience with rotor problems the pain occurs after you take the load off, (once i put the dumb bells down from doing fly's) from this little bit of info you have given it doesn't sound like rotor problems to me, but you should go see some one about.

Definately get it looked at. However, sometimes its more a problem with your form agrivating the joint. For instance, during an incline press for the chest, make sure that when you press up keep your range in front of the shoulders, try to not hyperextend behind the shoulders with locked elbows. Similarly in the seated or standing shoulder press, always press up forward of the shoulder joint, I see alot of people doing serious damage to themselves trying to push to heavy a weight and forsaking form. Sometimes a little less weight and correct form can be all that is needed, however, I would still get a diagnosis.

I agree with Roadie, don't waste time fucking around trying to sort it yourself.

I've had a history of rotator cuff issues, caused by a serious injury (landed on shoulder).. anyway, I suggest you go see a physio asap! your issue does sound like a rotator cuff problem, one thing I've found is that if I always do rear delts before pressing there is no issue with pain.

But yes I will say it again! PHYSIO ASAP!
