help/advice please

Recommended Posts

I'm a 24 yr old male, 5"10 and weigh about 66-67kgs, and have an athletic build. I'm currently having problems trying to put on weight for the last 6 months. I am thinking about getting some legal anabolics or test boosters as over the last 6 months I have felt really fatigued and my libido has dramatically decreased. I currently eat 4 meals a day and take at least 1 mass gainer shake after a workout and on off days, and struggle to eat anything more.

I work out 4 times a week back/bi's, chest/tri's, shoulders/core and legs.

Anyhow just wanting advice on some legal test boosters or anabolics as to which ones you would recommend? would these also assist with my appetite?

I currently take protein/mass gainer, bcaas, glutamine, fish oil tabs and multis.

Any advice would be much appreciated...

Hi there rovr4on.

This is your 1st post so people are not going to trust you and you are not likely to get much in formation in this section.

Ask people you trust in your gym and do a pile of research into the subject. There are a lot of other people who have posted very similar questions on this section, so search through and read what most relates to your situation.

1stly - Sort the nutrition out. If you struggle to eat and you struggle to put on size, you have just identified and answered the question to your problem! Sort out the nutrition. Get to know your body and how it reacts. eat less amounts more often and in each meal there should be around 30g of quality protein from varying sources.

2ndly - Before considering AAS, exhaust your potential for natural growth. You have not done this yet. Once your nutrition and training support growth, then you could consider adding a course of Creatine.

I hope it all goes well :)

thanks clash, i forgot to mention that i do cycle on and off creatine regulary.

In terms of eating, for first 6 months of working out i only ate 3 meals a day and had low carb protein shakes. since in the last 6 months I have increase to one extra meal as well as a 500-600 calorie mass shake per day which is a meal in itself.

Do you have any ideas re fatigue and lower libedo??

Thanks for the reply

Diet or stress could probably cause those symptoms as well.

If you suspect you do have low test levels, its worth a visit to your dr or even just to the lab to get some bloods done.

At 24 I don't think there is much point getting legal test boosters since your test should naturally be quite high but no harm in trying some out if you want. I'm 28, tried one and it had little effect.

It would be wise to get your bloods done and rule out a few things before you go any further.

There is something not adding up and it may show in the bloods.

I am no doctor so anything I could suggest should not be taken as gospel.

Get your liver checked and blood sugars. Along with Vit B and testosterone etc, then you will have a better idea of where to go from there :-)

and no i didnt post in hope of getting a pm for roids, I know a guy who can provide such, but seems a little to complicated to get into and not too keen on the sides!! would be rather risky to offer someone roids to a newbie over a bodybuilding forum I would have thought!!

but thanks for your input, somehow I need to eat more I presume, just hard to stomach it...should I just drink a litre of milk in between current diet? or too much fat content?

allgood your probably in the wrong section but anyway how long you been on that diet? if you have been on it for 3 or 4 weeks and havent gained any weight up your cals i dont like the instant noodels and all mass shakes but its convenient so ok scrape the noodels and have a couple of cups of rice or have 2 packs of noodels if you want 20 grams protein from the tuna aint enough get the bigger cans 185 grams gives about 35 grams roughly add more meat and a few hole eggs also more potatoes have some carbs with your pre bed meal if your really strugling just keep adding more to you start gaining weight if all that fails you might need to get some bloods done and see if there is anything wrong

How long are your workouts? (Could be over training but at 4 days a week that's not very likely)

Do you feel stressed out a lot of the time?

How long do you sleep each night?

Do you supplement with ZMA?

Do you take a multi vitamin?

I was stressed but things have improved now, I work out for 50-60mins to avoid over training! sleep I was getting 6-7 hours now getting 7-8 over the last few weeks. dont use zma, although I had read that it gives a good sleep which does hold intrigue. yes I take one healtherlies mens mutli per day!! Think I will just try to eat more as mentioned and focus on getting a good sleep! i read zma gives some crazy dreams??
