I used to go for Opti-Men, but switched to Performaxx as I couldn't work out exactly what the extra cost was for.

There are slight differences in the makeup of each, and the amount of each ingredient, Performaxx has more of some things and things that Opti-men doesn't have, and vice versa. Optimen is a Tablet where Performaxx is a Caplet...

I'm just happy to be getting a multi in my diet

Maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can fill in the blanks.

I've used animal pak (animal make lots of great stuff, but holy f*ck they love to make their users look like pill poppers, pack has 11 in it alone) Performaxx and currently using Opti-men (got 3 bottles from the states for a good price and I run them at 2 pills per day instead of 2, I also have read lots of good stuff about now Adam and the new multi from Gaspari (well not new anymore lol)

At the end of the day, a multivitamin is meant to be one of those things you won't feel, but just there for health because as clean as you eat, as much as of your veggies and other goodies you will consume per day, you are bound to miss one on thing or another, so rather than stressing too much about it just get something that would complement your diet since they pretty much have the same stuff that your body needs (sometimes in exessive amount)

if money is tight performaxx can be found for as little as 20 NZD

else you can check out optimen or now adam

Controlled Labs - Orante Triad is by far the best multi i have used.

Opti-men has dosages but low quality vitamins/minerals, orange triad has higher dosages and the best quality vitamins/minerals. For example, all vitamin E isnt equal, there are many different types of vitamin E, orange triad has the best sources (any many at that) while opti-men has the low grade quality.

Not to mention OT is also good for the immune system and has its own joint formula.

Just curious to know how you come about this conclusion to what sort of quality Optimum uses and what sort Controlled labs uses. Unless you were actually present at the manufacturing process i dont think you would. Granted yes the label tells you of the doses but the actual quality of Vit E.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying OT is a shitty product as i used it in the past as well as Optimen and it didn't make difference at all. I felt equaly as good on both brands. I dont recall seing or reading anything about Controlled labs using far superior ingredients than Optimum. Just Sayin.

But i guess again you grace us with your superior intellect.

.

using animal pak atm which is great but OT is next, heard great reviews from everyone.

i used to be a fan of animal but then one day it hit me...taking animal pak/cuts/omega/and another one I can't remember.... the number of pills I had to swallow per day was insane....hence why I doubt I will ever go back to it again

I use glucosamine, fish oil x 2, 1000mg vitamin c with echinacea, and Centrum multi.

I don't know much about supplementation / multis though.

The lady from Xtream was telling me one-a-day pill multis are not worth using, can't remember why, maybe bio-availability or some such?

Anyone know whether that's true? Would hate to be wasting my time with them.

Yeah there was that show target or whatever where they placed the people on diff brand multis available in NZ and the conclusion at the end was none of these people where any better off.

The thing was none of those people were bodybuilders, powerbuilders or powerlifters so f*ck knows. Surely if you are training intense enough you are going to reguire some mineral and vitamin supplementation.

I've heard about Opti-Men before. But never tried it.

With your question about if there any powerful New Zealand brand multi vits?

I think you should discovered the Multivitamins from Maxalife. I'm taking their women multivitamins and its good on me. Promise!

I just have to say, that you should not have to have a multi, they should really be a justin....Just in case. I am a fan of taking one everyday and I change it to what ever is on special at the time of me putting on my order, and if I forget its not that important. The other thing is that you really need to make sure that you drink plenty of water aswell. If your pee is med-dark yellow your not drinking enough and your pissing away all the money you spent on the vitamin. You need to be drinking enough to make it a pale-clear yellow. This is due if I remember from when I was selling them, that vitamins (such as the B group) need large amounts of water to be able to move into the system. The other interesting thing to note is that you body is a great machine and you will piss out what your body does not want..... :pfft:

I eat loads of fruit and a reasonable amount of veges too, but use the multi etc as a "justin".

That's interesting about them needing loads of water to absorb. Any weight trainer should be drinking crazy amounts of water regardless - wonderful stuff it is. Especially people who use crazy stimulants and creatine etc; that sh*t dries you out.

The Vitamin C + Echinacea (big 1000mg) I absolutely swear by for keeping the immune system up and firing. Plus it's yum haha.

yeah most multi's are synthetic and man-made and the body doesnt take on what it doesnt need

loads of vits and mins flooding your body all at once normally just go straight through

thats why your way better off to get them from natural sources like fruit, vege milk etc daily

It says on the nutrition label on the back of the container, for example there are many form of vitamins E (not all types of vitamin E are equal)

For example on the label of opti-men for Vitamin E it says:

Vitamin E (As D-Alpha Tocopherol Succinate)

On the label of Orange Triad is says:

Vitamin E(as D-Alpha, D-Beta, D-Gamma, D-Delta Tocopheryls And Tocotrienols)

So you see what i mean, not only is orange triad have higher pecentages than opti-men but its also got better quality vitamins/minerals, opti-men is actually pretty poor quality, but dont worry im just being anal about all this, i like to do everything down to a pin point, both are good but orange triad is superior.

Well if it says it on the label. Doesnt vano vapour say it changes your DNA? If its on the label it must be true.
