My introduction

I'm starting to lift again and run after a couple of years break where I had some fun but have let my body go a bit. I've also been a stocky guy but I'm in the position where my belly (102cm) is bigger than my hips (97cm) and I'd like to at least make them equal again :)

I've improved my eating and cut down on the alcohol with some weeks with none. I have also been getting back into a better sleep pattern rather than making my body run on empty and recovering by sleeping the next day.

I did some powerlifting a few years back. Just for two years but it made a big difference. At the moment I am doing some simple lifting (upper body/lower body) stuff with 8 reps and partial reps to tire myself out. I'm doing the upper and lower twice a week, running three times and cycling to and from work.

I've got some Halodral Gels and Novedex XT that I am thinking of trying now that I have been back in training the past month.

Foodwise. I've been eating more protein and using whey as a morning and afternoon snack while keeping to the main three meals of the day. I'm a bit worried about the calories though as in the last month my waist has dropped just 1cm (although my arms have also gained 1cm but maybe that is just optimistic measurement on my part).

Any advice or suggestions as to which forums are good to follow would be great :)

Thanks, Ian

Hi Ian, welcome to the site. Personally, I'd use the Halodrol and Novedex once your gains have slowed a bit. At this point, you should be making quite rapid progress, and if you're not, it's better to find out why and fix it, rather than throwing more supplements at the problem.

As to which forums are good to follow... they're ALL good! :D
