Hi all new to the site and really a novice in bodybuilding.

Have really been inspired by many female bodybuilders.

[MOD EDIT: No inflammatory comments, please.]

Was dissappointed to find out from her ex trainer that she uses diaretics

to lose fluid. The question I ask is "Is this natural? Would you test positive if drug tested and is it fair" The trainer told me this is common within the sport maybe I am naieve so really just asking what is acceptable.

Think the site is really cool and very open in the disscussions held, great for a novice like myself.

i know [MOD EDIT: Name removed.] and she is a devout natural trainer.

1 - dont put her name to a thread entitled "what constitutes drug use" because you heard it 2nd hand someone thinks she used a diuretic.

2 - diuretics arent drug use

these types of threads f*ck me off, people like you have horseshit for brains. This thread implies things about that you have no actual idea about, so why post them?

[MOD EDIT: No offensive comments, please.]

mods can this be deleted plz.

Depends if the diuretics are a banned substance and if they are competing in a tested comp.

Thiazides would be a banned substance and if one used them in a tested comp then yeah its cheating.

green tea extract, caffeine etc are not banned and therefore even in a tested comp would not be considered cheating.

This.

Rules define cheating, not morals. Period.

If its banned then its cheating. That said none of the large feds test in NZL now so I guess even if the person in question was taking Diuretics, HGH, Insulin, AAS, Clenbuterol, Thyroid and a bunch of stimulants they'd still not be considered to be cheating, unless they stepped into a federation enforcing an anti-doping programme.

Doesn't seem to leave much hope for nattys in NZL then huh?! Though Daniel Hibbs showed us otherwise.....
