Insulin, When are you ready?

Recommended Posts

I know this may seem a gay question like asking when are u ready to use gear but from guys who have used it what do you think about someone looking at using slin? like experience, stats ect

I am waiting till i am a lean 100kg before i think about it as i feel if i cant reach that goal then i shouldn't be thinking about something as serious as slin

Thoughts?

I'd turn off the Internet connection and ask yourself without googles help...why would i need to take insulin

If you dont have an answer because u don't know what it offers (it doesn't build muscle) then u aren't ready.

If you do know what it's used for and you're ready for it's benefits and prepared to accept it's consequences as well, then u r ready.

If I were in your shoes I would have waited a bit longer before taking gear, and I wouldn't consider insulin until you have muscle mass that you can't hold without gear, and you're looking to compete for a serious comp

Sorry i'm a bit confused? insulin doesn't help build muscle?

i wont ever be interested in competing this is purely for myself.

Mate i would have to say you are right with this one. I to get ask time and time do you do it or not. for me i make up my own drink with a very good WPI and other things mix in with it and 200gms potatoes straight after my workout and thats my way of having the same as a insulin hit

this comment always comes up around the traps; I dont get it why do people think all the money we spend on food and supps etc is wasted unless you are going to compete whats the diferrence between the majority of us whom just want to be big, lean and strong just for our own selves and someone who is going on stage???

Yeah true AllenNZ I forgot to mention that.

Play with insulin spikes naturally first and c how that goes.

Post workout drinks, even spikes when u take creatine, with meals etc

No insulin doesn't build muscle like protein, it will assist with your efforts to build muscle size if used properly though. I spent 6 months thinking about it and asking around, I travelled 700km just to talk to one guy about it, hen another 6 mths to find someone to do my first few experiences with. So you can see why I might sound like such a downer for you... I'd say let someone bigger and more experienced take u under their wing for your safety and to get results from it. Nothing on the web is useful for insulin usage I promise you that, doses are screwed up, frequency too

Valid point, do you have kids? If your priority in life is to get big at all costs and there's no reward at the end of it...why risk so much?

We all came up against the same bullshit as well and in hindsight really glad that this bullshit was given, cause honestly if anyone wants to do slin and gear go for it. But the question was "when are u ready" so that's mine.

There are surfies with same v-taper and size as you, Go to a swim meet and teenagers there have better shoulders, without taking gear, so what do u expect me to say? You're miles away from needing it but a weeks pay says you only want to "try" slin to c what it does...thats your real reason for thinking about it.

Sorry I know this comes off as a shit message to you, wish u all the best regardless of the path u take, just not going to agree with u on this topic - out

Whoa chill out mate! i'm sure there are surfers with better taper lol this is a hobby for me i don't do it so one day i can get up on stage in speedos.

I don't understand why your getting your knickers in a twist the reason i posted was to get opinions!!....you have finally given me yours... where did i disagree with you? i'm going to take everyones opinion on board and think about it if i'd ever consider use

Don't think you can say why i want to do it mate, i never even said i was going to try it.

I'm purely asking if someone (not even me anyone!) is looking at doing slin what level should they be at before they consider use.... if i was just going to do it i could care less what anyone says

anyway.... what do others think?

I can see where you are coming from Android. It is a VERY DANGEROUS substance if missused or overdosed & you need to be VERY AWARE of what you are doing & the consequences. However, I think you will find that most of the top BBers have used slin as part of their drug protocol. I am not advocating its wide use but it does have a role if you are serious about building huge mass. Test, Deca, Dianabol & Slin is the oldest mass gainer cycle. For you twl, this is a drug that is only or should only be used by very experienced users of gear & who know how their bodies react to carbs & proteins. as AllenNZ has said you can get similar insulin spikes naturally by using simple sugars & post workout supps followed by carb & protein loading.

Thanks MNZ that was all i was after.... i haven't done enough research to understand the full complexity of slin

This is the first part of that.....where someone should start from? :D

if and when i ever decide i am ready to do it i would certainly do my homework! i do not want to end up dead or diabetic for a few kgs of muscle lol

When i go to a swim meet and my delts stand out maybe i'll be ready

watta crock mate, having wpi, glucose and potatoe pwo is nothing like having 10-15iu of insulin... you cant compare and can definitly not say you going to get similar results.

iv used in past and its only dangerous if your an idiot. planning and preparation ppl... failing to plan is planning to fail. if you got ur shit sorted and know what you have to eat how much and at what times then ur fine, ffs some ppl use it pre workout to get a good pump lol. you looking to build mass/put on weight so you have more carbs than nessarcery to be safe and dont go to sleep within 4-5 hours of taking the slin (depending what kind you are using of course). TWL isnt wanting to use it to cut up so ther should be no issues of lack of food to cause him to go hypo. its the next step in the use of aas, its cheap and easy to get hold of. there is no point when your ready to use it... thers no rules book on when ur ready to use anything.

start low doses like someone does with clen and work yr way upwards till you reach a dose which is good and u feel comfortable. always carry some form of simple sugars on u at all times when you are using as the hypoglacemia can happen quite quickly. there is heaps of info online on diff forums etc. if you can find someone who has exp with it to help u out face to face even better.

wicked stuff! :D

This harmless looking question has certainly opened up a can of worms...

Here is my 10c worth from personal experience and information given to me from people that are at the top of their sport and have used insulin.

You are ready to take insulin when you have thoroughly researched how to take it safely. And you have reached a level of training maturity using AAS where you are at a genetic plateau and you would like to cross that barrier.

Insulin is not just for "competitors" it is for anyone that is serious about achieving their goals of increasing mass for whatever their personal reasons may be and have a good number of years of serious training behind them. I know 2 actors that took insulin to quickly gain mass for a role!

Insulin is one of the most anabolic substances on the planet. Not only is it anabolic to muscle cells but is also anabolic to fat cells so you when you stack insulin with a moderate to high dose of testosterone you can expect to gain mass as well as a little fat. (unless you include HGH in the course)

If you want to put on the mass, use test and insulin!

In saying that, insulin is also one of the most dangerous substances on the planet and a mistake can cost you your life. Although hundreds of thousands of diabetics take insulin safely every day, it is still very important to know what you are doing before you decide to use insulin. Some basic tips: -

Only use fast acting insulin - Humalog or nova rapid

Inject into sub Q fat only.

Start at a very low dose 5-7iu.

Do not take a 2nd dose within 4 hrs of the first. 6-8hrs is much safer

Have glucose, jellybeans and other fast carbs on you at all times.

Do not sleep within 4hrs of taking insulin.

Do not take insulin when on your own if you are inexperienced.

You are most sensitive to insulin first thing in the morning and immediately after training.

wow, being a very inexperienced AAS user this sounds terrifying LOL!!!!

its like jumping out of a plane. if you dunno wtf u doing u gonna die if u do learn and read its very safe no problems watsoever, and if u do encounter a problem which sometimes you do with slin like get shaky or drowsy you know what do do to combat it and 1 min later you feel fine again because you know whats happening and are always prepared.

Interesting analogy Tom. I guess what I was trying to say is that it is probably the most dangerous substance to use of all of the gear that we take. But yes, if you are well informed of what you are doing & have fast carbs on hand for the occassional case of hypoglycemia, then its no real biggy. But people do get admitted every year to ED for self induced insulin overdose & some do die. I dont think you could say that from using an overdose of Testosterone :D

true. but you cannot die off test overdose immediatly i think a fairer comparasion would be cellulitis infections admitted to ED from bad steroid injection protocol. you see i wouldnt expect ppl who know what they are doing to get cellulitis from injecting as i wouldnt expect ppl who know what they are doing with insulin to be admitted to ED either. im not disputing that insulin is by far one of the if not the most dangerous thing to be using, but im just saying i would use it anytime and not even think about a hospital or a coma as i would know what im doing to avoid those things making it safe for me

If someone gets the shakes or drowsy they don't deserve to b taking insulin.

By all means have stuff on hand in case but if u do need to take it then just admit you fucked up your usage of insulin, pretty simple really.

Would never tell someone to take 7-9iu unless they carried 20kg excess muscle on their frame and were doing HGH and eating like a pro. 2iu is enough and more is never better with insulin.

Most guys I know take advantage of the nutrient shuttling qualities while on it and consume 20gms creatine, 50gms glutamine, and as much BCAAs as you can afford. They also train 6-7 days a week and eat cleaner than ever before...fatty foods get shuttled into the body just as well as protein does on insulin. There's loads more you can do while on it but these are the minimum IMO.

Your muscles swell like never before, if u take preworkout you'll gain strength and pumps never attained before ...and it all disappears when u stop. When I come off it you'll be desensitized a bit and unlike test it doesn't bounce back the same. Insulin is the one hormone that limits life expectancy and it's because of the permanent desensitizing of it.

2units is such a low dose i wouldnt even bother with that just post workout. a 2iu dose per shot is a method some people use when u inject a small amount such as that b4 every meal so ther total for the day would be 16iu or ther about and maybe a bit more depending what they dosed the post wo shot at

the gains u get dont just dissapear when you come off it, sure your muscle dont feel as full but this is for obvious reasons. im not sure what u mean by desensitizing... are u talking about the pancreas not producing as much as it did b4 using? if cycled correctly and not excessivly for long periods of time there will be no issues here and if it does desensitze for good as ur claiming it would be very very minimal providing the insulin wasnt abused.

you are correct tho in saying what you eat while using insulin will reflect what gains are made, when u talked about clean eating.
