Anyone know any good ways of treating it?? and preventing as well i suppose.

My doc said mine was not a partially bad case and should go away. have an arm strap that seems to help a little bit. but keen to hear from people who have or have had it, how long did it take to go away and all that sorta jazz.

Tennis or Golfers elbow? Seriously I didn't realize there was a difference until I had problems. Without getting all technical tendon damage ect on the outside of the elbow is refered to as Tennis elbow while inner is Golfers.

Only way to fix it is rest and make sure your lifting technique is spot on.

yea differently tennis elbow. a few peps now have said, Fish oil, Glucosamine, very gentle exercise of the outer biceps.(reverse grip) and some trip-cep pushdowns on the same day. can help the tendon directly and help strengthen the area around the tendon. i stated this a few days ago, and have to say it feels a lot better all ready.

glucosamine and fish oil will take a least a couple of months b4 effects are felt. hopeless shit.

i had golfers elbow a couple of years ago. i seized all bicep training and heavy pressing, just lower weight lots and trained for higher reps. more you can rest it the better.

get some diclofeinac 75 (similar to voltaren you buy otc but alot better) from ur doc take 1 tab twice per day this will mask the pain immediatly and you will forget you ever had elbow problem. dont take long term, eat meal b4 taking and drink large glass of water to avoid stomach olsers. i took these along with light training sessions which cleared mine up very quickly and well.

just remember the tablets wont fix the problem and shouldnt be used to keep heavy training in gym going however they will make day to day life easier without the constant nagging pain from the inflamed or degenerated tendon.

really common overuse injury, nothing to be concerned about unless u ignore it and continue to do what caused it.
