What's your training routine?

Recommended Posts

Some people reckon they get enough of a shoulder workout doing back and chest that they don't need to do anything specific. I think Kevin Levrone was like that. However, I would have thought that most people should do them. I certainly lost strength when I didn't work my shoulders for a few months. On the other hand, I haven't done an ab exercise in years and seem to have lost no ab strength.

Kevin Levrone definatley did work his shoulders. He used to do 400lbs shoulder presses as well as all the other shoulder exercises. check out his best of video on you tube. Or his training videos fullblown and Meryland muscle machine.

  • 3 weeks later...

Day 1: Quads & calves

Day 2: Pecs & bi's

Day 3: Lower back, hamies, traps & calves

Day 4: Delts & tri's

Day 5: Lats, mid back, hamies & calves

2 days off

23 sets total per day, including 10 mins on stationary bicycle then 2 - 3 warm-up sets pre first compound movement - minimum rest between sets, plenty of mentally/verbally abusing the weights & machines - in & out within 1 hour.

Mine's a push/pull routine.

1. Chest/Tris/Shoulders/a bit of ab work

2. Legs/bit more ab work

3.Back/Biceps/Forearms/bit more ab work

I'm training 4 times a week just revolving the 3.

I make sure one of my off days is between the back & leg days 'cause I do deadlifts on the back day & stiff leg deads on the leg day.

I do 3 sets of 8 reps on compound exercises & 3 sets of 10-12 on the isolated........doing compound & isolated for each muscle group (except quads.....squats & leg press only.........leg extension pffffff).
