What's your training routine?

Interested to hear how others out there train.

For instance, I'm currently doing a two day split.

Day 1: Legs, Back, Biceps

Day 2: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

Day 3: Rest (or cardio).

What sort of split routines do other people do?

Currently I have been getting some good results with this split over the last 6 weeks.

Day 1 - Upper Body

Day 2 - Rest

Day 3 - Lower Body

Day 4 - Rest (or Cardio)

Day 5 - Upper body

Day 6 - Rest

Day 7 - Rest

Day 1 - Lower Body

etc etc

Im thinking about switching to a full body HIT workout soon

I train 4 nights a week in the gym getting good results.

Day1 chest an back routine1

Day2 legs an Bi's an Tri's routine 1

Off day Cardio

Day3 chest an bac routine 2

Day4 legs an Bi's an tri's routine 2

off

off

Then hit it hard again enjoying this training alot :grin:

currently:

monday- chest/back

tuesday- arms

wednesday- shoulders

thursday- legs

then repeat, no rest day at the moment

2guns, how long have you been doing this routine?

Mine at the moment...

Day 1: shoulders/tris

Day 2: legs

Day 3: Rest/Cardio

Day 4: Chest/Bis + HIIT

Day 5: Back/Calves/Abs

Day 6: Rest/Cardio

Day 7: HIIT

Mon Chest/tris

tue-mma training

Wed Back/shoulders/bis

thu- mma training.

Fri Legs

In a few weeks from noew Ill be going on to Chad Waterburys (off Tnations) MMA hammer strenght routine for fighters. Anyone seen it ? Its got some bloody interesting new princripals !

Mine is based around th west side barbell template

Monday Me Bench (Chest tris back)

Wednesday ME Squat/DL (Posterior chain, Shoulders)

Friday Speed and Power day (Olylifts speed bench, speed sq/DL tris back)

Only 3 days a week cos of rugby training tuesday n thursday

Fridays session is low wieghts.

Off season

Modays ME Bench

Tuesdays ME SQ/DL

Thursdays DE/Repetition Bench

Fridays DE SQ/DL

i have a 5 day split

Day 1: Chest

Day 2: Back

Day 3: Shoulders

Day 4: Legs

Day 5: Arms

theoretically, thats should have all the weekdays covered and the weekend is for rest and recovery.... but we all know that the world is a bitch and doesnt work that way.... :pfft:

don't do shoulders at all my gym instuctor who used to compete and is a BB judge reckons don't need to do them as I using alot of shoulders with my work outs seems to be workig at this stage see how it goes thou :grin:

Some people reckon they get enough of a shoulder workout doing back and chest that they don't need to do anything specific. I think Kevin Levrone was like that. However, I would have thought that most people should do them. I certainly lost strength when I didn't work my shoulders for a few months. On the other hand, I haven't done an ab exercise in years and seem to have lost no ab strength.
