Tricep Death

:shock:

I think I have been doing close grip bench wrong then!

Usually do it with hands almost touching, obviously thats wrong?

Am I wrong?

Not unhappy with my triceps progress, much better than Bi's.

I like to use a medium grip for them. Too close and you compromise weight and it's tough on your wrists. But that said, varying the grip is a good thing. Wouldn't say you are wrong bro. Another variation.

How does shortening the range of motion help?

Two things:

1. You an use more weight;

2. More emphasis on triceps as it takes the chest and shoulders out of play.

Me too :oops:

Also, I often use a wriggly-bar, with my hands on the inner-most "zigs" (or "zags" :pfft: ), especially when supersetted with skulls.

I'm not a fan of doing them so close. I haven't seen anyone do then like this for a while I have to say. Any real weight must be murder for your wrists.
