The Mitre-10 Mega Man ?!?

Is it Levi Strauss ??? Anyhow he is a past NZ strongest man, and we are talking super F---king strong, plus the fact he is enormous!!! size equals strength, remember that !! I would hate to see his food bill because he is also super hyper active apparently, cant sit still and every thing is at a 100 miles an hour, so to feed a metabolisum as big and as active as his, well lets just hope he got paid well for doing the Adds!!

Size equals strength Hrdcor? What about guys like Naim Suleymanoglu? He was the first man to Clean and Jerk three times his bodyweight, something which has very really been done since....he weighed 60kg at the time. Ed Coan?

http://www.criticalbench.com/Ed-Coan.htm

Ang Galati, 227.5kg Bench press at 79kg...

Check out that link if you want strength. Hell, a mate of mine who competed at the 1998 comm games, I watched him squat 232.5kg for eight reps, at the time he weighed 78kg!!!

What I'm getting at is that to build real strength you don't need to weigh 150kg...i'm sure it helps though!

To me that logic dictates that all strong people must have large muscles. That doesn't really compute to be perfectly honest. Type 2 a,b,c fast twitch non-glycolictic fibers have different characteristics, and will adapt to the stimulus given to them, hence the 1-6 rep range for strength trainers, 8-12 for hypertrophy etc......I'll find the link soon....or maybe I'm losing the plot completely due to lack of sleep. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Used to watch this young russian dude a wee while back, by all accounts at one point he was the world under 56kg junior (under 18) judo champion. He was tiny, but by god, some of the things this guy used to do were insane. Like big chins (20 reps +) with the equivalent of his own bodyweight in plates hanging off his waist. Then he used to do this wierd bridging exercise, rolling around on his neck, which at first glance looked like it was the same width as his shoulders!

The Guys name is Levi Voaga, Basically a really nice down to earth guy/Family man with hopes and dreams just like you and I. Here's a few stats form the Mitre-10 website about him;

Hi! My name is Levi Vaoga.

I’m the Mega man that you might have seen on the Mitre 10 MEGA television ads, or at events at your local Mitre 10 MEGA store.

I’ve been competing in Strongman events since 1998 and my aim is to become the Worlds Strongest Man!

The Strongman sport is known as the ultimate test of strength, endurance and tenacity and competitions are held all over the world.

Heres some facts about me you might like to know:

I weigh 173 kg and I’m 193 cm tall.

My biceps are 57 cm, my calves 28 cm, my quads 89 cm and my chest measures 154 cms.

At the Mitre 10 Mega store openings I tip over a 1200kg car and press lift a car axle!

My titles include New Zealand`s Strongest Man 2001 & 2003.

I came 13th in the Worlds Strongest Man Competition in the Bahamas in 2004.

I typically eat up to 12 weetbix, a dozen egg whites, 3 steaks, tuna, a pasta meal, casserole and vegetables in a single day.

· The heaviest weight I`ve ever lifted was pushing a 750kg wheelbarrow over 25 metres in 11 seconds!
