what happens when u only get half way to were u want to be and u fall off the rails? how do u keep motivated

Think of why you started in the first place and think of how great it will feel to accomplish those goals.

Make a training diary and keep check of all your progress. Being able to easily smash a weight you once struggled on.

The feeling of leaving the gym shattered and knowing you put in 100% and your making great progress...

You said yourself you're half way there, that's great! Look back at what you've already achieved, be proud and go hard to achieve the rest. :D

Find someone with the physique you want, then remember that you can get there too.

take a double dose of NO explode if you can get some.

what then run for the shitter ? i hate that stuff, makes you sweat hardcore during workouts. and you feel like crap - might be just my experience but i still got half a thing left blah :puke:

motivation ??

eat properly and train as hard as you can for 3-4 days a week for a month then have a look in the mirror, should be all the motivation you need.

I'd definitely agree with the setting goals thing. And it applies to everything in life :nod:

You have to decide what your "where you want to be" goal is, then break it down into a whole lot of smaller goals that'll help you get to your bigger one... so you've got markers to show that you're on track and don't get discouraged along the way.

It most definitely helps having a good support network like Bigred mentioned too.. and sometimes just telling people what you want to achieve can help kickstart things :)

I agree on the goal setting. I have one and just keep reminding myself of what it is. To keep motivated I check out BB Mags, websites, etc seeing what I can achieve and match that to my goal.

I also don't think about being unmotivated. Just keep dragging my arse out of bed on cold frosty wet mornings, doing the hard yards at the gym after work etc.

I've also told a lot of people my goal - and the embarassment of not reaching it also keeps me motivated.
