diamond Posted December 11, 2007 Report Share Posted December 11, 2007 have not tried the chicken chunks in water but have already gone through about 10 of the shredded chicken and mayo ones. they are all good.bout 32 grams of protein per big can and less sodium than a can of tuna the same size. bout 8 gms of fat.you can get the smaller cans too. Evie Posted December 18, 2007 Report Share Posted December 18, 2007 Looks like they mainly stock Foodtown and Countdown - the idea a chicken in a can is a little strange, but you know what, I'm a fan, good change from Tuna, easy and portable, good for on the run and to keep on hand. Plus the way chicken is priced these days having something right there that you don't have to peel the fat off & cook is all good when you just can't be bothered. Nice to have a new option. Truds... they do have chicken in a can in the UK (or they did when I was there) but it comes in a white sauce, like a stew or pie filling. It was alright when I lived there for a cheap meal with pasta and some BBQ sauce added - yeah I know not a good BB diet but I was a poor traveller then.
