fudoc5
hey i'm looking for a thermogenic fat burner to cut some fat around my stomach and lower back. have tried lipo6 for a month taking 6pills per day and still weigh the same and even gained abit more. have also been eating healthy too.i think its because they've taken the key ingredient yohimbine out of it bcos its harmful. has any one tried other fat burners which worked well for them? evo
I have used both leanfx and themo ripped from Balance Technology. Both worked real well with my diet and pre-competetion prepEvo
Flex
Lipo 6 will work even without the Yohimbine in it so it's not the fat burner that's the problem. What's your current bodyweight and bodyfat %, and what's your diet and training - ie how many calories are you eating each day, what's your carb/fat/and protein breakdown, and how much cardio and weight training do you do per day? IronGame
Yeah I gota agree with the general consencus here, its not the fat burner thats the problem and to be honest your just waisting your money on these kind of products if you are just after general weight loss. They "may" help with that last 1 or 2% pre contest if everything else is spot on " maby"
charlesclemens
I would recommend you guys not to take any fat burner and make exercise to lose your fats because this kind of fat burners will increase your heart bit. Beware!!! This is not good for long run. I got a friend who got difficulties in breathing after taking Lipo6 and admitted in Assuntha. This is not healthy. If you're counting the grams of what you eat you're counting calories; 180g protein = 720cals, 90g carbs = 360 cals, daily total = 1080 cals + fat cals?.I hope you're eating plenty of fat to go along with this diet. With an hour of cardio plus weight training each day you may be a little low on the calories and shouldn't need a thermo.

terarawataniwha
the best for me was the eca stack and in the interests of diplomacy I guess we are all looking for more legal means to 'cut the fat'. I drink diet coke and anything with phenol.... and thats good. I am wired on coffee otherwise and, but I dont suffer from caffeine burn or anything or suffer stomach problems, and as far as I know I am fairly mentally sound. Keep the protein high and crap carbs low and burn any residual carbs in the system for me, cause thermo's are expensive. The 'milder' versions of the great eca based thermos dont cut it for me. Android
What do use fat-burners for?Silly question ay...but seriously why do you use them and when? Here's why I ask.Speeding up your heart does sweet f.a in the long run. I'm not going to say its' bad for you but it's a waste of money and the caffeine sensitivity is lost by taking them during the day.How many coffee-drinking workmates look like they are in great shape around you? None I'd say.My advice:Use the fat-burners just to get your heart-rate up to the fat-burning limit pre-cardio and at no other time take them or caffeine. It will lessen the time you need to do cardio OR if you spend the same time doing cardio it will increase the amount of time you stay in the fat-burning zone. And your body gets used to caffeine and needs more each time for the same effect so caffeine sensitivity is important. If you open a new bottle of something take the lower dose for the first week, then increase each week to get the longest lasting effects. To go straight to the max is wrong, After week 2 your body is used to it and the heart doesn't speed up so much so you've just halted the effect of taking them.At no other time are they useful I would say a resting heart-rate of 10 extra beats per minute from caffeine during the day might burn an extra 200 calories if I am generous. But burning calories you already have isn't going to burn fat, you must know that so don't fall into the trap of taking them like people used to take ephedrine, eca stack or clenbuterol. Supplements aren't the same so they don't work the same way.Again, it's exercising to a point where your body has no carbs left to burn for energy and then going beyond that until your body is burning fat....that burns fat! That's why cardio should be for at least 45 mins, the number of minutes is irrelevant actually, it's how long it takes to burn all the food you ate :-)...then and only then will your body burn fat for energy.I guess the thing I want to say is: use the supplements to help you reach the fat-burning limit sooner, they won't burn an ounze of fat off you...they shouldn't be called fat burners. soundsgood
Whats your take on HIIT Android. Most people, myself included, who train using HIIT do cardio for only 20 minutes. Combined with Animal Cuts thermo's Ive lost 12kg in the past 6 weeks. There must be something going right.
Android
Whats your take on HIIT Android. Most people, myself included, who train using HIIT do cardio for only 20 minutes. Combined with Animal Cuts thermo's Ive lost 12kg in the past 6 weeks. There must be something going right.Interval training for fatloss was proven by the Australian institute of Sport about 3 years ago to be the most powerful fat burning exercise you can do.So I'd agree with your results mate, fantastic!Their optimal interval was 12 second sprint - 8 second wind-down or jog....or the other way around I can't remember but if you search their records and results you'll find the study.Keep it up :-) post some pics when you're ready if u can.On the 20 minute limit, It'd be accurate to say you could have lost more if you'd burnt more fat for longer but that doesn't mean you are doing it wrong, the result would be better if u did. I can't see how it wouldn't if you burning fat for 20 minutes then burning it for 40...I mean it's like burning alog of wood for 20 minutes and burning the same log of wood for 40 minutes....the only way it could be different is if you couldn't burn the log of wood at the same intensity. But I'd say after a few weeks of HIIT you must have improved your staying power and could do it for longer, you must have gotten a bit fitter? soundsgood
Android, I have posted a few pics in my journal. Link is in my signature. You are right, I have definately got fitter, but instead of going for longer I just increase the intensity, very easy to do on a treadmill as you can see your speed. My father is a PT, recent graduate at NZ college of fitness and he has told me that the optimum time to do HIIT is 20 minutes. Any longer and your body going into another state which actually hinders your fat burning potential. Most of the fat burning occurs AFTER the cardio not during.Im sure there's studies out there proving both schools of thought (45mins vs 20mins), Im just an amateur testing what works for me :pfft: Have the thermo's helped me lose fat or has it been all the cardio and diet? Who knows, Im hedging a bet both ways 8)
decade
Is it ok to take a thermo with creatine? with creatines water retention and thermos water loss, plus all the caffeine in thermo, will this cause any problems?
two_phat
not if your water intake is high enough anyway. I can't see you would run into any problems if your water intake is correct.

Creatine is for bulking, thermos are for cutting. Do one or the other, or you may fail at both!Sorry I disagree with this!Creatine/Kre-Alkalyn are used for recovery which aid in muscle growth. Last season I used thermos and Kre-alk while dieting and had great results. However I will say your wasting your money on any thermo if your diet isn't spot on. bambam
Totally agree, why does muscle recovery need to suffer just because you are trying to cut up......
Varven
Creatine tops up ATP energy reserves. It may make you hold water, or gain water weight. This will be favourable as it will offer some leverage with your lifting. It is not permanenent. As you come off it, it will reduce.if you are doing a show, then you want to want to leave creatine out for at last the the last 2 weeks. If not, no harm whatsoever in taking creatine and a thermo together, and neither will they work "against" each other.Just make sure you drink a shit load of water.
