Pseudonym
Looks like the "Squat till you drop" t-shirt he was wearing in the video above was unfortunately prophetic... :?

waldo
27 and Heart Attack? I blame the steroids. And BZP.
big MAC
27 and Heart Attack? I blame the steroids. And BZP.No confirmed heart attack at all. I resent the steroid comment, Marunde was a HUGE proponent against roids. I've been on his board for around 2 years, guy claimed to be clean and continually stressed the need for good diet and hard training over artifical help. Wait for the autopsy results before you make any conclusions. From what I've heard, sounds more like an aneurysm rather than a heart attack, but till it's confirmed we know nothing.RIP
Mo250
this was taken from his msg board.passing of a friendFriends, we suffered a great loss in the strongman community last evening. The Sequim Crew was doing what they do. Training hard and particularly training Jesse for the WSM contest in Anaheim. He died quickly and painlessly. The squat set was as follows:230kg x 8190kg x 8150kg x 8110kg x 870kg x 8Followed immediately by:600# tire flip265# stone loadAll of this was done with no rest between sets. Rack, pull, goAt the completion of these sets Jesse laid on his back, on the cold floor like normal. Breck and Sarge noticed that his breathing was laborious. Jesse became incoherent and stopped breathing. We administered cpr, called 911 and continued to resusitate until paramedics arrived. They set up the defibrillator, epinephrin, to no avail. He was worked on for over an hour between Breck, Sarge and the paramedics. These are the facts as it happened. We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We appreciate your support and prayers. The Sequim Crew

Mo250
it seems the drop set of squats and what he performed after did the damage as well. I think he put his body under too much stress. may he RIP and I wish his family all the best.
