Hi

Entering the Central North island Champs, Novice, Under 70kg at the end of Sept and these are a few pics of my progress to date, first and probably only, will list my current measures and would welcome any comment etc on what improvements can be done...cheers......

Dunno how far away your show is but from what you can see you seem to be leaning quite nicely. Prolly need to post up some bigger pics for us to be able to better critique your physique.

Would probably suggest that you work on your back width just to give your self a bit more of a v taper? ? ?

Yeah, was experimenting with the pics size. I will post other pics early next month as I have started taking monthly pics till comp time (29th Sept) just to gauge me workouts, growth etc. True I do need to work on my back width and Lats. My exercises for both currently are:

BACK - Lat Pull down - 4 sets of 10 reps - 52Kg - 5 secs up / 2 down

Chin Up Narrow / reverse grip - 4 sets of 10 reps - 2 ecs up/ 2 d

Seated Rows D Bar - 3 sets 10 - 12 reps - 59 kg

T-Bar Row - 3 sets 10 - 12 reps - 40kg

Pullover Str8 - 3 sets - 12 reps - 20kg

Prone Cobra - 3 sets 12 pers holding up for 3 secs

Thoughts...????

the opnly exercise u ahve ther is yr lat pulldown for width this is assuming u are using a wide grip.

do some wide grip chins and get sum one to assist u if u arnt very good, also bent over bb rows are really good and use a wide grip on these and yr back will get wide as

Just started a new 5 week prog which incorarates the above exercises, was doing those ex's in my last prog, Weighted wide grip pull ups and bent over rows however will look at them again in my last 5 week prog before the comp, although maybe a bit late but definition is better than nothing huh, all the best for your comp and hope the chainsaws work well in you pose routine... 8) :P

It kind of looks like you might be hunching over in your lat spread a bit. Think of a flat sheet of muscle, and try not to round yourself over so much. You might be able to squeeze some more width out of the lats that way. That's just another suggestion for you - I'd still do the exercises above too.

I downloaded this on your recommendation Pseudo.. its fantastic for comparisons of progress photos too !

Kewl pics fergie! I agree with S_M about the lats... bigger shoulders can also help with the illusion of a teeny waist ;) You're definitely on track for september though :nod:

Will def look at the pics and size I post next round. Will continue with my current ex's but look at doing post gym ex's per haps for the lats....i.e wide grip pullups. I think the shoulders are coming along nicely. Got my music sussed and my night pose routine completed so let the practice begin, and again, and again.....lol
