Ice_Man
Well I've decided to go back to the bodybuilding after having over a year off, I went from 90kgs to 75kg in that space working solely on aerobic training (muti-sport). Started back up one month ago, just wish I had taken some photos when I was at 75 (lol skin and bones). Within 2 weeks I packed it on added 10 kg (thanks to the no cardio, heavy eating and plenty of protein shakes), since then in the last two weeks I have lost 2 kg, trying to cut up and stay around the 82-85 kg mark, only because I have to keep up my running fitness. After this year ends the running won't be an issue (It's due to where I Currently work) and then I will be solely focused on bodybuilding getting my self a trainer and getting bigger. As hard as I try my legs have always been the hardest to gain bulk (I think it’s due to the running). If any one has got any advice on what body parts need working on more then others, and any killer exercises that go with it then please tell me.Age-20Thanks

I've only been there once and that was a year ago, I gave up the drinking after coming down here. I know the bar in Linton is like a fight club with all the young gunners there. And as for the gym yeah it’s still dam small with just the basic weights and machines. Normally isn't that crowded but when it is, it is a joke. There is meant to be a new one built next year. Same type as the others
shane
True the battalion not running the show up there eh, I know we use to run the bar the mighty 2/1 haha, hasn't change eh a new gym be sweet what about the pool that going to be covered as well or moved to wear the gym is. The only camp without a covered pool. I know those barracks well the cooks still live in those one's or is that suvla they in?
Ice_Man
lol I think 2/1st are always over seas getting the deployments, lucky bastards. Na I think these barracks are full of sigs and the occasional medic, it might be suvla ya thinking off. The new gym is supposed to go next to where the pool is and the pool turned into an indoor. Kind of like Wiouru one. I can't see it being finished for a long time.
Pseudonym
Excellent upper body, mate. Very impressive! Apart from legs, which you've already identified, the only other suggestion I have is to hit the upper chest more. Fewer decline movements and a heap more incline presses, flyes, etc. Other than that, you're looking lean and hard. Well done!
bheeman
yr 20 years old? thts bloody good! yr really leanThats what I thought. For a 20 year old, you are way ahead of the game. Keep at it and I am sure you will do very well in the bodybuilding world.
Ice_Man
For a 20 year old, you are way ahead of the game. Keep at it and I am sure you will do very well in the bodybuilding world. Thanks for the comments so far. I did not realise that at all. I had been lifting weights since of the age of 15, serious weights at 16. And got up to 90kg at the age of 17 (A lot of bulk muscle with a bit of fat), it came down to a lot of hard work at the gym but a poor diet (e.g. alcohol, and fatty foods), due to inexperience with nutrition for bodybuilding at the time. But of course as you do over time studying and reading you pick up things. Now I am on a pretty strict diet with a much harder training raceme, but a smarter one as well. I just wish now I didn't have that year off, alot of hard work lost.My short term goal is to bring all my muscle groups up to proportion with each other so that when I go decide to go all the way with the bodybuilding its going to make things come together a lot easier and faster.Ultimate Goal is to try out for a bodybuilding competition next year. As for weight well I haven’t decided, but big is all ways good.
deegee
If you really want to do a show you will have to get the legs working more, if you approach the pti's possibly with a programme possibly you will be able to get excused some of the running. I knew a guy in the army who was alowed to do his own pt in order to compete, just as long as he could still pass an rfl.
shane
Yeah how would you compete and have to do PT as well have got permission not to do any of the running or other arobic activities??
Ice_Man
Yeah how would you compete and have to do PT as well have got permission not to do any of the running or other arobic activities?? :wink:Work has no worries with me doing the bodybuilding. The problem is im trying out for PTI's this year so need to stay in the fittest shape to get through it. That’s why I said this year is going to be a problem with work. The selection is in September so after that month I will be free to pursue bodybuilding.

Ice_Man
Nice how do find the meals for your training do buy your own or go to the mesws. Who writes up ypur progammes for youIm a big one on the meals at the mess. Lol I attack the broccoli steak and chicken until the cooks say "that’s enough". It’s hard to resist the sweets they put out though, I do try. In my room I have my usual stash of tuna and protein for in-between the mess timing. As for the programs I write them up my self. I also write up my m8s to.
