I got the Flu.

Havnt eatn a thing since friday arvo, just been vomiting bile ever 30 mins while saturating everything in sweat- most brutal fever ive had.

Could not get any water into my body without it comming back up.

When someone would come check on me id freak out and not recognize them.

I Was put on a drip last night and managed to get my first 4 hours sleep since fri.

So now im home, bit better, but totally fucked.

I lost 11 kgs!!! the f*ck.

Would most that weight loss be water ???

Had just made some sweet gains before this also.

Anything like this happened with any of you?

about the weight loss - yep its all water weight lost (not muscle/fat don't worry about it). you'll get it back pretty easy when you can get back to eating properly but man that sucks about not being able to even get water in.

This is why I laugh when people with a shitty little cold claim to have the "flu"

I feel ya though. I'm still recovering from Glandular Fever. Could hardly eat for a week when it was at its worst. Made an effort to drink lots but it was so painful to even swallow I couldn't sleep properly. I lost 7kg and I'm lean so feel like it was mostly muscle. Quite a bummer but shit happens. Having to start back with much less strength and work capacity, feeling weak as f_ck is hard going though.

Still... shit happens.

It's a small blip when put into perspective.

Come back stronger.
