JW
Hi there - good website Pseudonym!!A little about me:-Am interested in BB and would like to see if I can get to some kind of decent shape here. Starting point is not that flash tho @ 85.3kg, 24% bodyfat - am only 5'6 tall. My initial goals are to drop to 80kg and 14% bodyfat as I think that will be a very good base to be moving forward from. To get there have started good diet, regular cardio and five day split RT. Have not set a timeframe for this as yet.As you can see I am WAY BEHIND most of you, but hey I have my plan and am very motivated!!! Wish me luck To the experts - do you think my approach is correct? Any pointers.Cheers

Pseudonym
Thanks JW, and welcome. As you can see I am WAY BEHIND most of you, but hey I have my plan and am very motivated!!!Even if this is the case (and I wouldn't be so sure), we all started from a similar place.Your plan looks good. The only suggestion I'd make is that if you're just starting out, weight training 5 days a week AND regular cardio is overkill, IMO. I know you're anxious to see results, but watch out for overtraining - it's probably the most common mistake for beginners. I'd suggest weights 3-4 days a week, with cardio on the off-days. Pseudonym
Good stuff. You might want to consider starting a workout journal here - then we can give you advice as you go.
JW
A good suggestion Pseudo BUT am a little worried about how pathetic it would look against the others  :?
Big_J
i think you have got to stop putting yourself down.. and start realising that things dont happen overnight and teh fact tht you r deciding to do sumthing is the positive result out of this.. people on this site dont care about ur stats but more the fact tht you have a goal and are trying to achieve it imo neway. CutTaBits
Welcome,I reakon you should take some photo's every month as i think seeing your body tranform is motivation in its self.
poos_n_wees
I'm with the workout journal idea too - knowing that you'll have to log your lifts on here may be the motivation you need to lift that little bit more
2guns
imo go hard bro.weight train and cardio everyday. just get good rest and eat right.u will see results very fast.especially when u first start. its when youve been training for a while that the results start taking longer and longer.
