Burning Calories.

Hi everyone one :) I'm new to these forums and new to the technical side of fitness  Today I ran on the treadmill for 35 mins and burnt a total of 550 calories according to the treadmill. I'm 91 Kg and want to keep my bulk but get more cut. Feed back on the calories would be great thanks :) Also I ate Light Plus Blue Bluebird chips after (40g). Should I stay away from them and what food should you eat after a run?

Umm.

YES, stay away from the chips - apart from the calories (and all calories are calories) the fat and salt won't help you with a cut.

Machines tend to be inaccurate and to under-read. Assuming the machine allowed you to put in your weight, they're not bad, but.

When you say 'ran' - what sort of "ran" ? - steady speed or sprints.

The best use of time is High Intensity Intervals (HIIT) - they tend to deliver a protracted 'after-burn' effect on the metabolism, when compared to lower-intensity steady-state (LISS).

Basic rule of thumb - it takes 3500 cals to burn 500g - so if your diet was at maintenance levels, you'd need to do that every day to burn 500g of bf. If your diet's not right, both in calories and in protein-carb-fat ratios, you won't get the results you want.

So, tell us what sort of running and weights you're doing, and what's a daily diet - be honest.
