Distance Learning - PT Course

Hey Guys/Gals,

I was thinking about doing a PT course. I live in Rotorua and dont really want to have to relocate to do it. I see the Open Poly does the course via distance learning, which suits me fine.

The question I have is has anyone done it via distance learning and if so does anyone know how many trips to the campus you must make to do the contact sessions?

Appreciate any help

depends what u want out of it.

i was going to do it that way, but dont see how you can learn PT via corrospondence for such a hands on job/career

sure u can learn all the theory stuff and then add onto that.

different views on whether its worth the $$ and time doing a cousre at a provider or as your thinking... corrospondence.

Im really just after the ticket to tell you the truth. Would like to start looking for PAID work in the industry. I figure It is easier to get work with the quals under my belt.

Im working full time and cant really afford to become a full time student again (Bills to pay etc). If I can do the majority of the work in my own time via corrospondence that suits me. Im just wondering if anyone knows how many in-class sessions there are in the courses?

Also on another note - I see there are a couple of full corrospondence courses available thru Australian organisations could I do those and be recognised as qualified in NZ?

Again any help appreciated
