Oros
Oros.........looks like the Michilin man,..........just not white,.......icon from a well known orange juice brand in RSA.Nickname I unfortunately picked up while in the military service quite a number of years ago, because of usually being pretty sun-burned most of the time (Those training NCO's just love to make you feel loved! :banging: :madman: )I just keep using it as a reminder
Varven
Var= first 3 letters of my first nameven= first 3 letter of my last name.now the original username I signed up with was VARVEN as explained above. However the email confirming my signup got sent into the trash folder and I couldnt retrieve the name VARVEN. So I settled for the next best alternative, sticking a Z at the end.Hence its VARVENZ.IF the admin could somehow magically edit it into VARVEN, id be a happy chappy as all my other emails and ids read VARVEN.
waldo
While humming along to Van Halen's 'Hot for Teacher' I harked back to the original video, and remembered the last bit with this nerdy little sdhool kid driving off with the hot chicks, and David Lee Roth shouting 'Sit down Waldo!'. Then it kinda stuck.

Pseudonym
Erm, because it is my pseudonym. (I used to use "Alias", which was easier to type, but I got sick of people saying, "Like the spy?!")

big MAC
big MAC was given to me when I was 10 (9 years ago) in the aforementioned RSA as it was the same nickname used by a national cricketer who I looked rather alike. Most people call me Jono now, but Mac or big MAC has stuck with a few people. Spitterkat
i used to have a cat named spitter (got him when i was about 10), because when he was like.. 2 days old? and his claws were all curdled looking, and it couldnt see yet, we let the dog (full grown rotweiler) sniff a kitten, and we heard this sound like bubble wrap popping in the background, then we lift that kitten up to the dog, and it scratches it, dog runs away yelping lol (hence name spitter).fastforward a year, i was making my email account and wanted something unique that didnt have all the numbers etc afterward, and that spitterkat popped into my head.(if youre going to mock over cat names, his brothers name is racer because he's first to the food bowl, and his mum is named bung eye)

of_wolf_and_man
well mine's from METALLICA. the name is the title of one of their songs. one of my fav songs actually. (makes a subtle return from a long absence...)pseudo, isnt your name greek or sumthing? i read somewhere that it's the actual greek work for "Alias"
Pseudonym
Yeah, sort of. It is actually English, but it comes from a Greek root. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Pseudonym says it's "from French pseudonyme, from Greek pseudonymos - having a false name". I_lift
I_lift...Coming from a strong basketball background, Michael Jordan always referred to weight training as lifting....he quoted "Now I lift" on one of his DVDs. Silly reason when I see it typed in front of me.
