How much time do you spend on social media each day and what do you use it for?

I realized yesterday i actually spend probably 1-2 hours a day between Gymnation and Instagram lol and wondered what amount of time everyone else spends on theirs. I spend a lot of time watching powerlifting videos on IG which takes up probably 1 hour but the rest is just checking on here, reading the workout journals and maybee posting my workout vid.  When i wake up i religiously check Gymnation and then IG like its the news or something. Probably lucky i dont have Facebook anymore. So what social media apps do you use , for what reason and for what total time in an average day?

i work in a office job where it can be 500% intense for a couple of hours, then not much to do for 3 days straight, so im on here a lot of the time just checking every couple hours waiting for something to happen (how sad is that lol)

 

instagram the same too

 

i hate facebook now, i get so much rage reading the dumb shit but because im over here sometimes the only way to keep in touch with ppl is facebook messenger, otherwise i would delete it already

 

instagram is cool i reckon, i much rather watch peoples lifting videos/progress photos/food porn photos then read them whining on facebook

since i left uni my time on social media in general declined a lot.. now adays maybe an hour to fb a week just enough to check notifications from the people that i set up to get instant notify from (close friends/family) otherwise you could waste ages scrolling through the wall all kinds of advertising crap).

 

gymnation i used to spend tonnes of time on, these days maybe half hour to an hour a day max.

dont get me started on tppa and the flag, i dont feel strongly for or against either of these things, but i dont like idiots that don't know anything about the topic spreading copy paste bullshit

 

also people on there that go on about legalising weed because its a medicine

 

yes it may be a good medicine for a lot of people, but the people that are campaigning for it to be legalised are typically not sick people that need medicine, they are the people that are on the benefit, smoke weed all day and whinge about the government on facebook

I spend most days on and off FB due to being an IT nerd by trade means I have the tab open all the time at work and Gymnation~ Insta I check every few hours, hit some likes, keep people happy hah! No worse now than playing WoW for 18 hours + a day or any other game that I've whored though haha

The flag won't change. Not this time round anyway.

 

Already the pro-change group is in the minority, and they will be further fragmented by having to choose a favourite from the 4 options. So the favoured option has to compete against the combined weight of 3 runner-ups, and the existing flag. It doesn't stand a chance. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, but it seems like if you were trying to create a smokescreen (ie maximum noise with minimum outcome), this process would be hard to beat!

 

I hope the flag remains the same just so I can laugh at the waste of 26 million.

We should've just spent the money bribing Australia to change their flag instead. :P

It does make you wonder about why they are going to all this effort changing the flag when id say a good 95% of kiwis dont want it changed. I do remember back before it all started and I had facebook id see random posts of a few groups of maori wanting it changed because it only represents the Pakeha and they were refusing to have it as their flag but thats about it. Smokescreen is the word that comes to mind.

Don't give a f*ck about that Facebook shit and all the fucking crap in it nor do i give a rats festering asshole (not you GymRat i mean the four legged type!) about this flag debacle got better things to think about like should i have 2 scoops of whey with my morning shake or just 1?? Shiet!!
