Went today for adjustment met this chiro chick called herself doctor, was thinking if can't prescribe hgh u ain't doc. She made me watch some gay video in their office on computer screen and closed the door went for 7 mins. I just took snap chats of me sitting in the chair with my feet on the desk and had a sip of the chicks h2go water bottle and went through her hand bag. Found some tampons eww and was straight up just like #donotwantheranymore. if was 8 mins long I coulda fapped and jizzed in zee hand bag but 7 min rush. Then she just talks shit writes shit on computer and then didn't even touch my back booked me in for tommorow for exam and adjustment and to figure out a plan (plan for what I dunno?) then they charge me $86 today... I'm like wtf bro to them u didn't do shit to me. Paid anyways cause I don't want popo to turn up. Now I gonna cancel the appt tommorow and say no thanks not keen on spine scam.

Like any profession there's good and bad.

Everyone at The House swears by Dr John Gyenge. He's a fully qualified and very experienced doctor, has sports medicine qualifications as well, but a lot of his treatments involve chiropractory too. Very knowledgeable man, great to talk to about the potential causes of any issues as well. Basically a Doctor + Chiro + Physio, he's truly a magician.

He's kept many powerlifters and athletes training and competing when they otherwise likely wouldn't have been able to. An adjustment from him at a comp is pretty much an instant + 10kg to your deadlift after you've squatted and benched haha. OB, MT and TFB can vouch for him too.

I go to one now, didn't have to watch a video or anything, it actually feels real good when she adjusts my back, however every once in a while she does these fruity spiritual things/postive thinking things that I don't see the point of and end up asking her to crack/adjust my back...been told there a guy that does it green lane that is really good...

i'll vouch for the Doc, as an individual practitioner, and here's why:

2013 NZPF Nationals, Doc watches me continually get pinged for depth on left side. He talks to me afterwards, points out that one shoulder is lower an the other. One spinal manipulation session later, three almighty cracks, and shoulders are level. At NZPF Classic comp a month later, no missed lights on depth.

John's a fully trained MbChb (doctor) and a sports med specialist, who just happens also to be very good at spinal alignment. He can say what's wrong, and treat it, with no crystals, chakras or auras.

I'd be looking for someone with checkable credentials (like a degree from a university, not a cornflakes packet, or professional registration like the Royal NZ College of GPs, or the NZ Chiropractic Board). if they aren't! That's probably a clue.

I've never been to a chiropractor too. I'd rather pay to get a relaxing massage. It's the best way to fix the muscles. That's why rugby players use them all the time.

Scratch that comment. I was thinking about physio. Don't even know what chiro is. And from reading the comments above, it looks like a waste of time even finding out what a chiro does.

At regionals last year I seriously screwed my lower back from my 3rd deadlift attempt; could barely walk the next day without stinging pain and my legs had about 10 degrees ROM. Went to a chiro and after some spinal adjustments I could walk again pain free and had legs had 90% ROM. Psuedo science or not I can't argue with the fact that he fixed my ass in 1 session.

Coming from a guy with a science degree but an open mind..... I couldn't even hit a double bicep pose 6 weeks ago due to supposed bursitis in my shoulder, with a fairly average looking tendon to boot. I managed to baby this through a strongman comp last year by getting physio & accupuncture twice a week but couldn't resolve the injury dispite modifying training.

A friend (multi National BBing champion) referred me to Kristi Salonius on the Shore, as she sorted a major shoulder issue for her. Within 4 weeks I could hit a double bicep and we're now focusing on sorting the shoulder position and trap firing for my lat spread - this and any rear delt work has been an issue for years due to neglect (trap engages early and pulls shoulder up). Really good progress so far.

Kristi (Bettabodies) is also an athlete, qualified in massage and a PT, so probably has a better all round skill set for bodybuilders/gym peeps.

iv never been to a chiro but for every bad story I hear, there is a story of someone being unarguably "cured"

if they didnt include all the bogus witchcraft energy shit they talk they could actually have some credibility.

in saying that, have also heard of doctors saying to avoid chiro's as they can do more harm than good, but guess there are idiots in any field

I have similar issues to what you have just described and have been thinking about seeing a ciro to try fix it. I guess it depends on who you see and what you are trying to address?

Its not a police matter if you don't pay.. Its a civil matter.. If you are ever unhappy with a service, just don't pay. It really is that simple..

The service provider has a choice, to chase you through court for or debt collectors for $... You have the opportunity to defend your reason for not paying whether it be through the debt collectors or though the courts..

Years ago, had some idiot take me to the debt collectors for not paying for a service I wasn't happy with.. I rang the debt collectors, and asked that they hurry up and take it to court so that I could give my side of the story.. I explained why I refused to pay and told them they would not be getting a cent off me..

Debt collectors dropped it on the spot.

If you are ever unhappy with a service, DO NOT PAY until you are 100% happy with the outcome..

this works lol

my girlfriend had big dental job, round 4k all up. wasnt happy with end result.

i wrote some rage as emails to them saying not gonna pay unless they remedy it bla bla, she ended up having to go back a few times (must have been awkward considering the shit i had said about them in my emails)

threatened to report them to health commission/ dental society/ etc, threatened to sue for injury/emotional harm/etc (all bogus really)

in the end they settled on getting it to a point where we were 100% happy with the job, and regardless cut the bill in half for "emotional harm compensation"

u just gotta pretend you know what you're talking about and dont hold back on rage, they won't argue back because their job is to provide a service and you don't have to pay until you are happy with the service.

You're on to it. Too many just pay and shut up.  And this day and age. If they really annoy you, so many ways to get the message out on to the internet and ruin their reputation..  the world is way to smaller place to shit on people these days..
