A little off topic but you all see this is pro standard. why do people find that so difficult to understand. People shouldn't become pro till they look similar to this. All these pro cards that got dished out in nzifbb a few years back to people who didn't even when a nz overall title but we're given because they had more future "potential" than the overall winner.... Where are they now, still looking the same.

It's now become compulsory to give a pro-card to all national winners of their respective countries.

That's why I won't do nationals until I feel I can win overall and be able to contest as a pro within the next couple years following that

Really? So that call's come from the top levels of the IFBB, not the NZIFBB?

That's a big change. Very interesting - why do you think they did that? Did they not have enough pros coming through?

Good question. I don't think I can answer that. I guess they just want to give everyone else that isn't in America a fair chance with them turning out 10 pros in each category every year (could be an exaggeration but they have a lot of pro card shows)

That's not correct in relation to it being compulsory. Here in Aus the nationals winners haven't been given pro cards for years. Instead they do a pro qualifier which runs in conjunction with Fitx. As of this year they now have to win the overall at the Arnold Australia to get a pro card. That's not just the best aussie on the day but the best overall in each division and not broken up into height and weight pro cards... ha ha ha ha no doubt the NZFBB will choose a different manner for awarding pro cards.

Most of the european countries you have to win a european or world championships to get a pro card still :)

I read in another thread someone said Tony Doherty was giving out pro cards willy nilly and no one complains about him. It was in relation to the numer of pro cards Moe was giving out. It just doesn't happen like that over here in Aus. You used to have to win your class at the pro qualifier and now it's even harder.
