FellowshipOfTheRon
nice. how did you get all this, their site still showing 2014 stuff. now what does one need to do to enter any of those comps? become a gpc member? or just pay entry fees on the day? any concerns about what kind of equipment you allowed to or not allowed to use? had a look through the rule book looks like standard 4" belt and sbd knee sleeves be all good for raw along with just tshirt and shorts. squat shoes all good too? 3lift at the mount in august looks good, have to qualify for any of these things? Realtalk
I'm not GPC official or anything like that just a lifter. U can lift as a novice meaning u dnt need to sign up just turn up pay entry fee, weigh and lift. Same as NZPF u dnt need soft suit as novice. Less gear restrictions though. Any knee sleeves are allowed doesn't matter of brand. I found this shit on GPC fb page bro. You only have to qualify for nationals. I'll be at the mount 3 lift I won't be lifting so I would help you for the day if u want mate. That'll br held at global gym in the mount where I train in a separate room to the gym so will be a good atmosphere. soundsgood
Join the Facebook page for more up to date info bro - https://www.facebook.com/GPCNewZealand In GPC you can wear sleeves or Knee Wraps as well as belt and squat shoes and still be raw. There are no brands that we don't allow so your SBD knee sleeves are fine as are Rehbands, KiwiStrength or any other brand. There is online entry for each competition available from 2-3 weeks out from each comp. We generally will take entries up to the weigh in the night before but always best to register and pay earlier. All of the regional comps this year you can lift as a novice without being a member. However you must be a member to lift at nationals. And to lift at Nationals you must have lifted at a lifted at a regional event. There are no qualifying standards. Everyone gets a shot. We are taking a team to the GPC worlds in Las Vegas so if you're interested in coming with us then get in touch!!!

You don't have to be a member to do regional meets but will have to be for nationals and worlds. Thats my understanding anyway. There are rules are the equipment used like knee wraps can't be over a particular length, can't have a padded belt etc.. No restrictions on brands though. I have attached the GPC rule book for reference GPC-NZ-Rulebook-2014-v1.pdf FellowshipOfTheRon

M.T
GPC just a North Island Fed or something?
Realtalk
It's pretty new bro so until get more people on board and it grows (which it will) holding a Comp in the South Island would be quite expensuve and time consuming taking all the gear down there. Everything gotta start somewhere.

Realtalk
Rotorua classicSaturday 7th of March at some Crossfit in Rotorua, lifting starts round 10am. Free for spectators.$50 entry to lift as a novice and make those gym lifts official, or $40 if you are a gpc member which allows you to set records instantly. None of this waiting 6 months bizo.Should see a couple of 200kg bench presses and some 300+ squats and deadlifts so def a good environment to come down and get some motivation to add to your training. Will be a good day I will be lifting as well as few other guys from the forum. someone else be able to say the Crossfit name as I can't spell it and give the exact time for weigh in and kick off.
