yeelang
Just wondering what everyone is taking health support wise (if anything) for any side effects of AAS. Not talking PCT/HCG but liver, kidney, blood, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc also how often you get blood tests taken/heart/prostate exam? I'm currently on every 3 months for tests and while crusing/recovering from injury not taking any support.

Its an anti-platelet, it doesn't effect blood pressure...

If you want to reduce red blood cell count, you can donate regularly.. Rosenson, R., et al., Aspirin. Aspirin does not alter native blood viscosity. yeelang
Agreed re NSAIDsand protein synthesis how often are peope getting blood tests? Or are most people just waiting till a problem is present? Testing out this Urine Analysis device, going for bloods next week
Leeroid
I've only gotten bloods when I wanted to test a product's potency. That being said, I think I'll get comprehensive bloods done once I get back to NZ next week. Been doing a pretty syrong blast for last 8 weeks including orals and wondering if body has taken a toll alhough I feel good Pseudonym
Pseudonym
Good point, Yeelang. I think the steroid-using community really needs to create a culture where getting these checks done is just standard practice. Ideally both before and after a cycle, but certainly at regular intervals. A culture of regular checkups would show young guys that AAS is something to be taken seriously. Regular checkups are the only way to counter the public and media opinion that steroid users are irresponsibly endangering their health. Oh, and then there's your own improved health - which is always a bonus.
yeelang
The other aspect of frequent blood tests is it allows you to push the envelope further with better insight. The majority of users don't actually know how much AAS they can actually handle before they need to back off health wise. if you are looking to compete but you aren't competitive in your gear usage it's not optimal. Not suggesting unhealthy/over usage or that you should run 13.5g like Boston, I'm suggesting optimal usage/progression and that comes from knowing what is happening dose/health wise. If you are running 1g and plateauing with optimal training and nutrition why wouldn't you move up if your health markers are still normal. Likewise if the wheels are falling off at 1g health wise, you probably need to get off and take as long as you need to morally compete naturally. count macrosprogram trainingtrack health markers

You've just reminded me of a discussion I was having with a mate the other day. I'll start a new topic and we can debate it here.

To further add: Aspirin is used for its anti-platelet properties..When a plaque ruptures the cholesterol crystals are exposed to blood in vessels, this causes a reaction to clot, blocking the vessel causing cardiac tissue necrosis (heart tissue dies).. The anti-platelet stops clotting... It doesn't thin blood..
HalfNatty
i get checked by doc in a general sense about 4 times a year, i have to go in for my sustanon script anyways now. so he does BP and stuff - i give blood about 5 - 6 weeks in dont know why that time just guessed half way through should do it. aromasin eod - with cialis just because its supposed to lower blood preasure and enjoy the other sides. doc says he wants a prostate check every year - since im on HRT - i will conveniently lose my blood test and not do it when im doing more than doctor recommends. have had all manner of scans and even an ecg in the last year and all seems fine except for a lymphangeoma on my spleen which they keep pestering me about. oh yeah and i do take a couple of vitamin C tabs every day for the first month - think i had "test flu" last time and it put a real damper on the first month of cycle. so first time now trying this - been feeling great.
