  4. 4,000 Calories, upcoming bulk

  5. Is this summer worse than others?

Workout at home, this problem is the number one reason. That and I don't like the idea of sharing everyones sweat, srs.
  6. Handstand pushups, steps 1 to 6

Impressed, no room for error there....
  7. Just after a few ideas on a good weight belt. I'm no big lifter but have had a hernia repair and am starting to ramp things up again and don't want to risk buggering up the repair so want to get into using a belt, mostly for deads as that seems to tweak me up the most in the lower abdomen. Waist is 88cm so not sure on size of belt I would need..............
  8. Weight Belt Recommendations

    Sweet, thanks mate.......
  9. I have a spare Olympic sized barbell here with locking collars, has the odd surface spot of rust but overall is tidy and works well. I'll clean this up before pickup though. Its the 18kg one No1 fitness sell rated to over 300kg..... $50 pickup in Christchurch Also have a few Olympus weight plates that can be negotiated if the buyers wants those as well at $2 a kg.
  10. Olympic Bar + collars Christchurch

    A couple of 20's,10s and 5s plus 2.5s..... Cheers.
  11. The beginning

You are starting from a good base, low fat and some muscle to build-on. Best of luck with your progress Cory.
  12. increase in gymmers

I'm just grateful I workout at home, that is all.......
  13. 1000 Pushup Challenge

Decided to give this a go and see how long it would take. I wasn't out to do this in one session but rather slowly fatigue over a few days. Completed 1000 standard military pressups with full ROM inside 72 hours. Pretty happy with myself as I don't consider myself 'fit'. Shoulders and tri's are pretty shagged and pumped to hell. I'll try pullups next. Anyone undertaken any similar challenges and how did you find it? Cheers legacy.
  14. 1000 Pushup Challenge

Chest is fecking sore at the moment, as are shoulders and tri's. Will try diamond pressups next time but aim for 500 as the buggers are a lot tougher in volume but that will have to wait till after the pullup challenge.
  15. How do you eat oats?

Oats in bowl, add boiling water, add soy milk, add protein source.....eat.
  16. Margarine vs Butter

We have Olivano spread, whether its better than normal margarine I don't know. I love my butter though, might have to grab some this week.
  17. Your Creatine of Choice?

Nutratech Creatine Mono, cheap and it works.
  18. eh no burn....damn!

Not sure why some people assume burn/ DOMS signifies a good workout, just as there is no need to train to failure to achieve growth. Stop worrying and just keep doing what your doing, lift eat and sleep.
  19. ISUZU D-MAX!

I guess so... I have never in the past... but it just so happens I'm in the market for a ute at the moment... I guess the advertising works? I find it hard to believe that there's a ute out there in the bust waiting to be found as well. haha Why? It's not difficult to drop it into a clearing somewhere. Pity Google earth wasn't more up to date, would be hitting it hard LOL.
  20. How to get testosterone level check?

Getting test, shbg, fai, creatinine, serum protein electrophoresis and tsh done. Just told doc recovery was slow from workouts, lacked energy and libido was down, wasn't a problem.
  21. Muscle Ups

Last I tried I could do about 4 with narrow grip (hand against hand). I do a lot of pullups and chins, diamond, indian, standard and wide pressups.
  22. Abit of down to earth talk

What a mullet, its clear by his speech that is self esteem and his IQ are equally low.
  23. Slow Recovery Time

I have noticed lately it is taking me at least 5-6 days to fully recover a muscle group at a similar intensity of work that I was doing a year ago. Since then though I have become very intolerant to lactose so don't have any dairy but have plenty of eggs, meat and fish. Not taking creatine or protein powder. Am tossing up getting some creatine to see if that helps as I'm really struggling to make any headway with these slow recovery times. Anyone else been in the same position?
  24. Slow Recovery Time

Thanks for the input guys. Only variables I can think of from this time last year are: Stopping all dairy intake Slightly poorer sleep patterns Increased stress I don't bother calorie counting now as I have pretty good gauge of what my needs are BUT due to removing dairy I may have a slight shortfall in protein intake which might not be completely offset by my other protein sources. I do also take regular breaks usually once every 8 weeks I have a week or so off. Volume is slightly less but at heavier weights than 12 months ago. Sets usually 5, one warm up, 4 working sets, 12 10,10,8 reps. I'm gonna try increasing protein intake and get some creatine mono and try that over the next month.
  25. positivechanges starting point

You are in great shape already. Most women would love your body but of course there is always room for improvement
